Refine your AdX report with dimension filters (optional)

This option is available when you create an Ad Exchange query.

To refine and specify your report data, you have the ability to apply filters (OPTIONAL) to exclude or include specific pieces of data. You can view data by dimension family, configure the filter to include or restrict values from the selected family, and further narrow down your results by specific values from the dimension family.

Go to the section where you can select your dimension filters.

The Ad Exchange Query Tool limits you to one filter per dimension, but you can have as many dimension filters as you need. Filters can contain a single item or they can contain multiple items. For example, if you want to apply a filter to the “Countries” dimension, you can choose only the “United States” or any combination of countries that are listed in the drop-down menu.
  1. Click the first filter drop-down to select your dimension
Only dimensions that have had transactions against them in the past 24 hrs appear in this drop-down menu.
  2. Click the second filter drop-down to select your operation to include or exclude data. Select from is, is notcontains, and does not contain.
All items that appear in filters for “is” and “is not” operations can be selected by a menu. Items appear in the filter menu as you type them. For example, if you attempt to filter on the “United States” and “United Kingdom”, typing the word “united” would display a list of countries that match.
  3. Click in the field to the right of the operation, and choose your filter option. From the drop-down menus, select from a list of possible values.
Only items that actually served on your inventory in the last six months appear in the filter menus. If you want to list all data for a given dimension, DO NOT apply a filter to it.
  4. To create additional filters, click +add. Repeat steps 1 through 3.
