Confirm or block apps

Review apps that have been detected as using your publisher ad code

To monetize and avoid ad serving limits, you must confirm and complete the setup of apps that have been detected as serving ads.

The "Apps to confirm" page lets you review a list of mobile apps that are being monetized using your publisher ad code, but haven't been added to your Ad Manager account.

You must confirm your apps to avoid or lift ad serving limits for those apps. Once you've confirmed your app, you can:

  • Avoid ad serving limits
  • Stay informed about your app status
  • See revenue, impressions, and more
Ad serving limits may impact your revenue.

Review and confirm apps

View the "Apps to confirm" page to check if you have apps that require action:

  1. Sign in to Google Ad Manager.
  2. Click Inventory and then Apps and then Apps to confirm
  3. Filter by Requires setup.

If you own (or are responsible for monetizing this app via MCM) and want to avoid or lift ad serving limits for the apps that appear, click Finish setup. You can create a new app or add the store ID or package name to an existing app in Ad Manager.

Learn more about app readiness.

Block apps that aren't yours

If you don't own an app (and are not responsible for monetizing this app via MCM) that appears, click Not my app. This stops ads showing in the app and marks the app as "blocked".

Unblock your apps

You can unblock an app that you previously marked as "Not my app".

  1. Sign in to Google Ad Manager.
  2. Click Inventory and then Apps and then Apps to confirm
  3. Filter by Ads blocked.

When you unblock an app, you must finish setup to add it to the apps list.

The maximum number of apps that can appear on the Apps to confirm page is 500.
