Local items: Missing description

Complete these two steps to correct missing descriptions:

Step 1: Find out which items are missing descriptions

  1. Sign in to your Merchant Center account.
  2. Click Products in the navigation menu, then click Diagnostics.
  3. From the Diagnostics tab, click Items to see products that are missing descriptions and how much inventory is affected (you can view up to 50 products).
  4. Next, click Download Download to download a report on all products with missing descriptions.

Step 2: Submit a valid description

Submit a valid description for each product. Describe its relevant attributes in a way that is clear and employs standard grammar rules. Learn more about the description [description] attribute.

After we've verified the description, the notification in Diagnostics will be removed.
