Add or edit business information on Maps

Share what you know about the businesses that matter most to you. The information you give us helps to make sure that business information on Google is accurate and up to date.

Fix someone else’s local business

Report wrong business info or a closed business

If you see something wrong with a business that you don’t own or manage, you can suggest an edit using Google Maps.

Remove personal information from an unrelated business

If personal information appears on a business or place's search result in Maps or Search, you can report it through Google Maps.

On your computer
  1. Open Google Maps on your computer.
  2. Search for the business.
  3. Click Suggest an edit in the card below the search box.
  4. Follow the instructions to report your issue.
  5. Click Submit.

Add or verify your local business

Claiming and verifying your business helps customers to find it on Google. Once you've added and verified your business, then you can edit your business information such as its address, contact information, category and photos.

Add your business to the map

On your computer
  1. Open Google Maps and make sure that you're signed in.
  2. Zoom in to the map where you want to add your business.
  3. In the bottom right, click Report a problem.
  4. Click Add a missing place.
  5. Drag the marker where you business is, and add any relevant information.
  6. Click Submit.

Claim and verify your business

On your computer
  1. Open Google Maps.
  2. Search for your business.
  3. In the card below the search box, click Are you the business owner?
  4. Claim and verify your business.

On Google Maps for mobile
  1. Open the Google Maps app Google Maps.
  2. Search for your business.
  3. Touch the info sheet at the bottom of the screen.
  4. In the upper right, touch the menu.
  5. Touch Are you the business owner?
  6. Follow the prompts, to claim and verify your business.
