We may review edits that you make to your verified business information to make sure that they follow the guidelines for representing your business on Google.
After you saved your changes, your edits show up as:
- Accepted
- Pending review
- Unaccepted
Tip: Edits pending review usually take up to 48 hours. In India, and some other regions, we take extra steps to confirm that your phone number is correct. These steps make sure that your Business Profile is accurate.
Important: As a COVID-19 precaution, we're operating with a limited team. It may take longer than usual to connect with us. We recommend our Help Community and YouTube Channel.
Pending edits
If we haven't reviewed your edits, you get a message:
- At the top of your dashboard: "Some edits are pending"
- Within the field on a computer or underline on mobile: “Pending"
Unaccepted edits
We may review edits for quality before we publish them, so you may find that we haven't accepted some of your edits.
If this happens, at the top of your dashboard, you get this message: "We have updated your business information based on user reports and our data." Learn how to manage Google updates on your profile.
An “Updated" status shows up within the fields we haven't accepted. You also get this status update if your business information is updated from other sources.
If you believe your business information on Google is incorrect, contact us.
Unverified Business Profiles
All business owners who sign up for a Business Profile on Google, but haven’t verified their business, can edit some of their main business information through their Google Account. After the changes are approved, they can be published even before the business is verified on Google Search and Maps. Some business owners may still need to verify their business first before they edit their information.
Business information that can change include the name, category, address, hours, phone number, and website.
Google updates
When we get reports that your business information may be incorrect, you get "Google updates." These reports come from various sources and help give customers the most accurate, up-to-date information about your business.
