Starting January 15, 2025, the best of Google AI is now included in Workspace Business and Enterprise plans. Previously, you could only get these features if your organization purchased a Gemini for Google Workspace add-on. AI features will be rolling out to Google Workspace Business and Enterprise plans over the coming weeks and months.
If you get Gemini for Google Workspace through your school, there are no changes to Gemini availability in your account.

With Gemini for Google Workspace, you can use AI-assisted features to draft emails, revise documents, and more.
Access to Gemini for Google Workspace is available through:
- A work or school Google Account: You can get AI-powered features through an eligible Google Workspace subscription or Gemini for Google Workspace add-on.
- A personal Google Account: Gemini is available through Google One AI Premium.

To use Gemini for Google Workspace features, you need to have an eligible Google Workspace edition for your work account. Availability of Gemini features varies depending on your Google Workspace edition.
- To check if you have access to Gemini for Google Workspace, look for the Gemini icon
in a Workspace app. For example, at the top right of Gmail or Docs, click Ask Gemini
- You can also contact your administrator.
