Google Apps is now G Suite. Same service, new name. More about the name change.

Access your G Suite domain settings

Here’s how you can find DNS records, see renewal information, verify domain ownership, and change other settings for a domain you’re using with G Suite.

How you access your settings depends on how you purchased your domain.

I purchased my domain...

While signing up for G Suite
  1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.

Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).

  2. From the Admin console dashboard, go to Domains.

To see Domains, you might have to click More controls at the bottom.

  3. Click Add/remove domains.
  4. Click Advanced DNS settings to sign in to your domain host.

You’ll see the sign-in name and password to use. From your host account, you can edit your domain’s DNS records, unlock your domain, or transfer your domain.

If you don’t see these settings, you didn’t purchase your domain through Google. Instead, you must sign in to your domain host directly. For help, see Identify your domain host.

Before signing up G Suite

If you already owned your domain when you signed up for G Suite, sign in to the account at your domain host to find your settings. This is typically who you bought the domain from. If you’re not sure who your host is, see Identify your domain host.

If you need to verify domain ownership, follow these instructions.

From my gmail.com account

You’re using Business email powered by G Suite.

If you didn’t unlock additional features:

Follow the instructions at Manage your domain for Business email users.

If you unlocked additional features:

If you unlocked business features (for example, to create business addresses for other team members), you can find some settings in your Admin console.

  1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.

Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).

  2. From the Admin console dashboard, go to Domains.

To see Domains, you might have to click More controls at the bottom.

  3. Click Add/remove domains. You'll see information and settings for your domains.

If you don’t see the settings you need, sign in to your domain host directly and access your settings there. For help, see Identify your domain host.

From my Google Domains account
  1. Sign in to Google Domains using the Google Account that manages your domain. If this is different from your G Suite administrator account, you may need to switch accounts first.
  2. Manage your G Suite domain settings with synthetic records, or manually add your own resource records.

I still need help because...

I can’t find some domain settings

If you don’t see the settings you need, sign in to your domain host directly and access your settings there. For help, see Identify your domain host.

I can’t sign in

If you forgot your password, see Reset your administrator password.

If you're still having trouble signing in, see I can't access the Admin console.

My G Suite account is suspended

If your G Suite account is suspended, you need to resume service before you can access domain settings.
