YouTube TV casten met een Chromecast

Stap 1. De Chromecast instellen

Als je YouTube TV vanaf je mobiele apparaat, tablet of computer naar je tv wilt casten, stel je eerst de Chromecast in.

Opmerking: Je kunt de Chromecast en de Chromecast Ultra gebruiken. Je kunt casten vanaf de Chromecast (1e generatie), maar de prestaties kunnen minder goed zijn omdat deze Chromecast geen software- of beveiligingsupdates meer krijgt. Google biedt hiervoor ook geen technische support meer.

Als je een apparaat met iOS 14 of hoger gebruikt, geef je YouTube toestemming om te koppelen aan streamingapparaten in je lokale netwerk om naar je tv te casten. Hieronder vind je meer informatie over hoe je lokale netwerktoegang toestaat.

Step 2. Sign up for YouTube TV

If you haven't already, sign up and customize your YouTube TV membership. 

Note: To be eligible for YouTube TV, you must meet:

• System requirements
• Location requirements
• Internet download speed requirements

Step 3. Cast programs to your TV

1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is on the same Wi-Fi network as Chromecast.
2. Open the YouTube TV app.
3. Tap Cast  at the top of the Home screen. 
4. Choose the device you want to cast to.
5. Choose a TV show or video.
6. Tap Play. 

Step 4. Stop casting

Tap or click Cast   Disconnect.

Fix a problem

If you're experiencing issues with video streaming, try the first troubleshooting tip below and see if it fixes the problem. If not, move to the next step.

Close & reopen the YouTube TV app:

1. Exit out of the YouTube TV app, and then reopen it. 
2. Try watching your video again after reopening the app.

Check for updates:

1. Check that you've installed the latest system updates for your device.
2. Update to the newest available version of the YouTube TV app.
3. Uninstall and reinstall the YouTube TV app.

Check your connection:

1. Make sure you're connected to the internet. YouTube TV requires a connection of at least 3 Mbps for optimal viewing experience.
2. Turn your mobile data connection off and on.
3. Change the video quality to a lower setting. Select More  in the video player  Quality.
4. Close the video player by pulling down to minimize it, and then swiping to the right. Reopen the player and try watching the video again. 

Restart your Chromecast:

1. Unplug the power cord from the Chromecast device.
2. Leave it unplugged for ~1 minute.
3. Plug the power cord back in.

Restart your router:

1. Unplug the power cord from the router
2. Leave it unplugged for ~1 minute.
3. Plug the power cord back in and allow it to restart.

Restart your mobile device or browser:

1. Hold down the power button to turn off your device, wait 30 seconds, and then restart your device.
