Unsupported Bing Ads features

Engine Accounts

  • Authorizing or re-authorizing DoubleClick Search from the parent account in a multi-user account.
When authorizing or re-authorizing DoubleClick Search to access your Bing Ads account, specify the Microsoft Account that is directly linked to your Bing Ads account.
  • Conversion goal reporting
  • Master account-level tagging and tracking
  • Negative keyword lists

Campaigns

  • Content campaigns: Use placeholder keywords to get visits and conversions.
  • Dayparting
  • Demographic targeting
  • Multiplicative bid adjustments (+-1% increments)
  • Negative keyword lists
  • Timezone
  • Website exclusions
  • Shared budgets
In DoubleClick Search, an error will occur if you edit the budget of a campaign that is using a shared budget. Edit shared budgets in Bing Ads only.

Ad groups

  • Dayparting
  • Demographic targeting
  • Network selection:
    • All search networks (Bing and syndicated search partners)
    • Bing (owned and operated) only
    • Bing syndicated search partners only
  • Pricing model
  • Shared targeting (a feature that is available only through the Bing Ads API)
  • Website exclusions

Ads

  • Ad copy testing of expanded text ads. Test only standard text ads.
  • A/B Landing page testing: Use DS landing page tests instead.
  • Microsoft Audience Ads
  • Dynamic search ads
If you create DSA campaigns in Bing Ads and sync in the campaigns, DS can report engine metrics at the account, campaign, and ad group level. However, DS cannot report on DSA ads or targets, attribute Floodlight conversions to DSA campaigns, or manage DSA campaigns in Bing Ads engine accounts.

Extensions

  • App extensions
  • Callout extensions
  • Call extensions
  • Image extensions
  • Location extensions
  • Review extensions
  • Structured snippet extensions

Targeting

  • Radius targeting
  • Remarketing lists
Remarketing lists you create in Bing Ads—including lists you create as part of cross-channel remarketing—do not appear in DS. Any targeting or optimization you specify in Bing Ads will be applied by Bing Ads when your ads are served, but DS cannot report performance data for Bing Ads remarketing lists.

URL management

  • Custom parameters
While DS uses one of the three available custom parameters to uniquely identify keywords and ads, you cannot view or manage Bing Ads custom parameters from DS. If you sign into Bing Ads and add custom parameters for a keyword or ad, you can successfully sync the item into DS, but DS ignores the custom parameters you created. Bing Ads will apply the custom parameters when it serves an ad.
