Use image ads in different sizes

This article describes the size and dimension specifications of image ads you can upload on the Google Display Network.

Image ads capture people’s attention across the Google Display Network’s 2 million websites and apps. AdWords gives you several ways to create image ads—Ad Gallery templates, responsive ads, and uploading Display ads. You can upload custom image ads or use responsive ads.

Before you begin

Make sure that uploading custom image ads is the best choice for you. You also have the option to create image ads that fit just about anywhere across the Display Network with responsive ads. Even for advertisers who do use uploaded image ads, a best practice is to create additional responsive ads to cover sizes unavailable as uploaded image ads. Learn how to create a responsive ad

Keep in mind that you can run multiple kinds of ads, not just image ads, from the same AdWords account and, in some cases, from the same campaign. Learn about the different campaign types and available ad formats.

Instructions

Before creating your ad in AdWords, you’ll need to prepare an image file that is sized and formatted appropriately. The specifications and dimensions are listed below.

When uploading a .zip folder, the maximum number of files included is 40. Learn how to create and upload an image ad.
