Trademark Verification Form

Advertisers may use this form to add a trademark to their payments profile. That trademark may then be used as the advertiser name in the ad disclosure for all Google Ads accounts associated with that payments profile.

Important: This form should only be submitted by the owner of the trademark in question. If you are an agency, please do not submit this form yourself but instead share it with your client. Once the trademark is verified, it will automatically show in the billing settings page of the Google Ads account and in ad disclosure.

Who can submit a request

  • Only the owner of the trademark in question may submit this form. 
  • The person submitting the trademark request form also must be either:
    • An admin on the payments profile;
    • An admin on the manager account; or 
    • An employee of the trademark owner or trademark owner’s parent/subsidiary company, with an email domain that matches that of the trademark owner or its parent/subsidiary company.

A payments profile can only be linked to a single trademark, and the trademark must meet all of the following requirements:

You’ll need the following information to complete this form:

  • Trademark registration certificate and corresponding details for the country where the entity listed in your payments profile is incorporated. You do not need to supply registrations for all countries where the trademark is registered.
  • The payments profile ID number (About payments profiles) and account ID number that you are linking this trademark to. 

Trademark Registration Details  

Does the registered trademark incorporate design or stylistic elements? *
Design or stylistic elements include non-standard characters, stylization or layout, graphic feature(s), and/or color(s).
Do not complete this form.

We don’t accept trademarks that incorporate design or stylistic elements. Therefore, your request can’t be processed and you should not submit this form. 

You can submit a new request if you have an active word mark trademark registration. A word mark consists exclusively of words or letters, numerals, or other standard characters, with no design or stylistic elements.

Please provide us with the details of the trademark you wish to use as the advertiser name in the ad disclosure.

The following details must match the information in the document submitted.

Only trademarks used as business names will be accepted. Unregistered marks and logos will not be accepted.
The trademark registration must be issued in the same country as your billing country in your Google Ads Payments profile.

This email must be either:
  • An admin on the payments profile;
  • An admin on the manager account; or 
  • An employee of the trademark owner or trademark owner’s parent/subsidiary company, with an email domain that matches that of the trademark owner or its parent/subsidiary company.

Google Ads account and Payments profile IDs

This should be the Google Ads account id that directed you to this page. You can also find it in the email that asked you to complete verification.

The payments profile id can be found in your manager account:

  1. Click the tool icon and under "Billing,"  choose “Settings.”
  2. Find the "Payments profile" section where you can view your payments profile name and ID, formatted as “XXXX-XXXX-XXXX”.

Does the business name on your payments profile exactly match the owner name on your trademark registration certificate? *

If your Google Ads payments profile and trademark registrant entities are different, please attach supporting documents that establish the relationship between the two and provide any additional explanation below. You may upload more than one document.
