The merch shelf and related merch features let eligible channels showcase their official branded merchandise on YouTube. If a channel is eligible, the shelf may surface on their videos’ watch pages, but may not show for all videos.

Eligibility, availability, & policies
Channel Eligibility- Your channel is approved for monetization.
- You're based in a country where the YouTube Partner Program is available.
- If your channel is a music channel, it has to be an Official Artist Channel; if it's not a music channel, it has to have more than 10,000 subscribers.
- Your channel’s audience is not set as Made for Kids, and your channel does not have a significant number of videos set as made for kids.
- Your channel does not have a significant number of videos that violate our Channel Monetization Policies.
- Your channel has not received any Hate Speech Community Guideline Strikes.

Policies
Your official merch that you showcase via the merch shelf must comply with YouTube Terms of Service, including these policies:
- YouTube monetization policies
- YouTube Community Guidelines
- Paid product placements and endorsement policy
You must also comply with Google Shopping policies including the prohibited content policy.
Violations of these terms and policies could result in suspension or termination of the merch shelf (including any related feature) or in account termination, in accordance with those policies.
No content, merchandise, or services offered by you (or any entity, person or artist featured in any content or merchandise on the channel or video page) where the merch feature is displayed, subjects or will subject Google to the terms of any agreements that may apply to such content, merchandise and services without Google’s express prior written approval of such agreements.
If you do not agree with any of the above, please do not enable merch features. You can also disable merch features at any time.

Platforms and retailers are solely responsible for supporting local currencies. We will not be able to display merch features to viewers in countries/regions for which retailers and platforms do not support local currency. Go to platforms’ and retailers’ websites for the most up-to-date info on their local currency support.

Your official merch retailer (not Google) will continue to be responsible for all aspects of merch sales including, but not limited to, merchandising, warehousing, order fulfillment, refunds, customer service, inventory management, and creator or artist payment.

Turn on, pause, or turn off your Merch shelf
Turn on Merch features on your channel- Your merch shelf and related features may automatically be turned on for you. We’ll let you know before they turn on, but once they do, the terms and policies above will apply to your use of these features.
- If you aren’t interested in showing your official merchandise on YouTube, you can opt out before it goes live, or at any time after.
- Sign in to YouTube Studio.
- In the left Menu, click Monetization.
- Select the Merchandise tab. You'll only see this option if your channel is eligible.
- To turn on the merch shelf on your channel and videos and link your official merchandise store to your YouTube channel, follow the on-screen instructions.
Learn how to manage your merch shelf, including choosing the merch items to show in which order directly from within YouTube.
- Sign in to YouTube Studio.
- In the left-hand Menu, click Content.
- Click the video where you want to customize your Merch shelf.
- In the left-hand Menu, click Monetization.
- Click the Merchandise tab. This option will only show if your channel is eligible.
- Temporarily pause the merch shelf by turning off the “Product section” switch.
- Note: If you save an empty product selection for a video, then this will also turn off the merch shelf for your video.
- You can reactivate the shelf for a video by:
- Saving a customized display selection,
- Reverting to auto-selection,
- Reverting to channel default, or
- Turning on the “Product section” switch.
To pause merch features for your channel:
- Sign in to YouTube Studio.
- In the left Menu, click Monetization.
- Click the Merchandise tab.
- Temporarily pause the merch shelf by turning off the “Merchandise” switch,
To turn off the merch features for your channel:
- Sign in to YouTube Studio.
- In the left-hand Menu, click Monetization.
- Click the Merchandise tab.
- At the bottom of the page, click Disconnect account.
Change supported Merch retailer
- Sign in to YouTube Studio.
- In the left Menu, click Monetization.
- Click the Merchandise tab.
- At the bottom of the page, click Disconnect account.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to link your other official merchandise store to your YouTube channel.
