Perform Creator Studio tasks in YouTube Studio

We're working to make YouTube Studio the new home for creators, and have added most tools that creators need. Use this article to learn how to use YouTube Studio for tasks that you previously did in Creator Studio Classic.

Upload videos

Add a video to a playlist
  1. Sign in to YouTube Studio.
  2. From the left-hand menu, select Videos.
  3. Click on a video's title or thumbnail.
  4. Select Playlists.
  5. Tick the box next to the playlist that you'd like to add to.
  6. Select DONE.
  7. At the top of the page, select Save.

Add cards to videos
  1. Sign in to YouTube Studio.
  2. From the left-hand menu, select Videos.
  3. Click on a video's title or thumbnail.
  4. Select Cards.
Add ad breaks

Save a video as new
  1. Sign in to YouTube Studio.
  2. From the left-hand menu, select Videos.
  3. Click on a video's title or thumbnail.
  4. From the left-hand menu, select Editor.
  5. Make changes to your video.
  6. Select More  and then Save as new.
Add captions to videos
  1. Sign in to YouTube Studio.
  2. From the left-hand menu, select Transcriptions.
  3. Click on a video's title or thumbnail.
  4. Select Add language and choose the language of the captions that you'd like to add.
  5. In the 'Subtitles' column, select Add.
  6. Choose between:
  7. Add subtitles and Save changes.
Find real-time data
  1. Sign in to YouTube Studio.
  2. From the left-hand menu, select Analytics.
  3. Find the Real-time activity card and click SEE MORE.

Browse and download songs from the Audio library
  1. Sign in to YouTube Studio.
  2. Select Audio library.
Add or replace audio in your video
  1. Sign in to YouTube Studio.
  2. From the left-hand menu, select Videos.
  3. Click on a video's title or thumbnail.
  4. From the left-hand menu, select Editor.
  5. In the audio row Music note, click Expand Minimize.
  6. Select +AUDIO.
  7. Find the audio that you'd like to add and select ADD TO VIDEO.
  8. In the video player, drag the edges of the audio track to change its timing.
  9. Select Save changes.
