Item uses a GTIN that isn't associated with this brand

What's the problem?

You submitted a value for the 'gtin' attribute that isn't associated with the value you submitted for the 'brand' attribute. You need to provide a value for 'gtin' that is associated with the 'brand' you provide. Learn more about unique product identifiers.

Why should you fix this?

Attributes like 'gtin' and 'brand' help us understand exactly what you're selling. When we understand what you're selling, we can help boost your ad's performance by adding valuable details about the product and serving the ad in a more relevant way to users.

How can you fix this?

  1. From the Diagnostics tab, download a report on the items on the items with this notification.
  2. While the brand provided in the 'brand' attribute isn't associated with the value provided for the 'gtin' attribute, your item doesn't require a GTIN. To help improve performance, you should update the two values to provide an associated brand and GTIN. For more information about the validation of GTINs, refer to the GTIN Validation Guide edited by GS1, the organization that maintains GTIN standards. To verify the ownership data of the GTINs you provide, refer to the GS1 GEPIR tool provided by the GS1 organization.
  3. After we've verified that the brand and GTIN match, the notification in the Diagnostics tab will be removed. This may take up 24 hours.
  4. To prevent this from happening in the future, make sure to review your remaining items for similar issues.
