How to fix: Regional availability values are inconsistent

Update the regional availability [availability] value in your product data for the affected products and regions to match the value on your landing page

Your product's availability in the region is set to out of stock [out_of_stock] but the product is listed as available on your landing page.

Note: Regional availability mismatches can lead to a warning if you don’t address them.

Instructions

Step 1: See the affected products

  1. Sign in to your Merchant Center account.
  2. Click Products on the navigation menu, then click Diagnostics.
  3. Click the "Item issues" tab to see current issues affecting your products.

To download a list (.csv) of all affected items for all issues:

  • Click the download button Downloadnext to the filter buttonDownload, beneath the graph and above the list of issues.

To download a list (.csv) of all affected items for a particular issue:

  • Find the issue under the “Issue” column, then click the download button Download at the end of the row.  

To see a list of up to 50 products with this particular issue:

  • Find the issue under the “Issue” column, then click View samples in the “Affected items” column.

Step 2: Update the availability for the affected products or region

  1. Filter the downloaded report so that you only see products with:
    "Issue title" = Inconsistent regional out of stock [out_of_stock] value (page crawl): availability [availability].

  2. Investigate your update process to see what could be causing the problem:

  • Check examples in the “Item issues” tab in Diagnostics.
  • Make sure you’re updating your landing page and product data at the same time.
  • Schedule an upload or use the Content API to immediately update your product data. This scheduling helps make sure Google has the same data as is on your landing page.
  • Ensure that you only use the excluded destination [excluded_destination] attribute to exclude products from showing.
  1. After you’ve addressed the problem, update the availability [availability] attribute for your product and regions to match your landing page.

  Step 3: Resubmit your product data

  1. After you’ve updated your product data, resubmit it using one of these methods:
  2. Check that you’ve fixed the issue by making sure it’s no longer listed on the Diagnostics page.

Keep in mind: It may take some time for your changes to be reflected on the Diagnostics page.
