Storage plans

You can upgrade your storage plan for a monthly fee. Your upgraded plan will be your new total storage limit. For example, if you upgrade to 1TB, your storage limit is 1TB (not 1TB + 15GB of free storage).

Total storage Monthly rate
15 GB Free
100 GB $1.99
1 TB $9.99
10 TB $99.99
20 TB $199.99
30 TB $299.99

There are no annual plans available at this time.

Note: You may be charged local taxes or fees in addition to the prices listed. Google won’t charge any additional fees.

Manage your storage plan

After you buy a storage plan, you can choose another plan or cancel it. If you cancel, you’ll still have 15GB of free storage.

Cancel or downgrade a storage plan

Google Drive storage plans are non-refundable, but you can cancel your plan so that it doesn't automatically renew in the future. To cancel a storage plan:

  1. Go to www.google.com/settings/storage.
  2. Under your current plan, click Cancel Plan or Downgrade Plan.
  3. Choose a plan and click Cancel Plan or Downgrade Plan.
  4. You'll receive a confirmation email. On the start of the next month of your plan, your plan will be cancelled or downgraded.

Canceled plans are non-refundable and can't be transferred from one Google Account to another.

Update your payment information

You can update your payment information at any time. Learn more about making changes to your payment information.

If you’re not able to buy storage because your payment has been declined, you'll need to update your payment information. To update your payment information:

  1. Sign in to payments.google.com.
  2. Choose how you'd like to update your payment information:
    • Pay with another card on file.
    • Update the billing address or expiration date of your current card.
    • Add a new credit card.
  3. Click Continue.
  4. On the confirmation screen, click Update.
Older storage plans

In the past few years, Google storage plans have changed. In general, if you're on an older plan, you can stay on that plan as long as you continue to make payments and keep your payment information (like your credit card details) up to date. If you're on an older plan and would like to change or upgrade plans, you'll be able to choose from the plans currently being offered.

If you're curious why you have the amount of storage space you do, visit www.google.com/settings/storage/ and hover over the pie chart to see what storage adjustments have been applied to your account.

How to keep your old plan

Google Drive storage plans have changed, but you can stay on your old plan as long as you:

  • Keep your account active.
  • Keep payment information in Google Wallet accurate and up to date.
  • Don’t make adjustments to your current plan.

If your account lapses, your credit card is declined, or you choose to change your storage plan in any way (upgrade or downgrade), you’ll be asked to choose from the plans currently being offered. Once you choose a new plan, you'll no longer be able to switch back to the old one.
