Product Linking: Merchant Recommendation

Google has updated the integration experience between Google Ads and Google Merchant Center to help you increase exposure for your products and website using your existing account, website and product data. You may notice recommendations in your account to link your account to Shopify, WooCommerce or Google Merchant Center.

Shopify and WooCommerce

Google will recommend that you link Shopify or WooCommerce to your Google Ads account if you meet the below criteria:

  • If you’re using either Shopify or WooCommerce for your online shop
  • The domain hosting your online shop isn’t linked to a Google Merchant Center account
  • Your account is using only one domain for the online shop

What you’ll see

Google will serve you a recommendation similar to this:

Google Merchant Center

Google will recommend that you create and link a Merchant Center account if you meet the below criteria:

  • The domain for your online shop isn’t hosted by either Shopify or WooCommerce
  • The online shop hasn’t been linked to a Google Merchant Center account
  • Your account is using only one domain for the online shop

What you’ll see

Google will serve you a recommendation similar to this:
