In early December 2020, Google will update its Political content policy to include an election ads policy for Australia. This will include the following changes:
Election ads in Australia are ads that feature a political party, current elected officeholder, or candidate for the House of Representatives or Senate.
All advertisers running election ads in Australia must be verified by Google. Verification to run election ads in Australia will be available starting mid-November, 2020. Information about verification requirements can be found here.
