Use the app campaign dimension in your Cohort report

With the app campaign dimension in the Cohort report, you can view LTV and retention for each of your Google Ads app campaigns. This can help you evaluate your campaign’s effectiveness and inform your ad campaign strategy.

Note: To use the Cohort report, you must install the latest Google Mobile Ads SDK version (18.1.0 or later for Android, 7.44 or later for iOS) and enable user metrics.

Enable app campaign dimension

To enable the app campaign dimension, you must:

  1. Link your AdMob app(s) to Firebase.
  2. Link your Firebase project containing the app to a Google Ads account
    Note: Make sure you’re linking to the correct Google Ads account. You want to link to the Google Ads account that contains the ad campaigns for the app you’d like to view in your Cohort report.

Troubleshoot discrepancies in AdMob and Google Ads data

The number of app campaign installs in your AdMob Cohort report needs to match the number of first_open conversions in your Firebase project. If you find a discrepancy between this number and the data in your Google Ads account, check out the possible reasons for discrepancies.
