Quick Start Guide for nonprofits

Check if you're eligible for a Nonprofits edition through the Google for Nonprofits program. Once you activate  Nonprofits edition (free of charge), you'll be able to upgrade to the Business for Nonprofits or Enterprise for Nonprofits, at prices discounted for nonprofits.

Access your administrator account


The Google Admin console is where administrators manage Google services for people in an organization.

Set up your business email


If you didn't activate Gmail during sign-up, you can do so now (or whenever you're ready). You need to change your domain’s MX records to direct mail to Google's mail servers. We also recommend you add an SPF record to your domain settings.

Don't worry if you're not sure what MX or SPF records are. Just see below for steps.

Eligible nonprofits have access to Nonprofits edition at no cost. If you're an eligible nonprofit on a Google Workspace trial, make sure you upgrade your account to Nonprofits edition before your trial period ends.
