Embedded documents, including Google Documents, don't count against the sites storage quota. However, items added as an attachment or to your file cabinet do count against your quota.

Sites per domain is unlimited, but it may take some time before your account is eligible for it.
  • If your domain has six or more users, sites per domain is unlimited after the first billing cycle. Until then, the limit is creating five new sites per week per user. If you have reached the limit and get "Sorry you can not create more sites at this time," wait a couple of days and try again.
  • If your domain has fewer than six users, the limit of creating five sites per week per user may remain in place for multiple billing cycles. Your account will be eligible for unlimited sites after the domain has been billed for the equivalent of six monthly user subscriptions.
Designing a site with thousands of pages and attachments can slow the site and create a poor user experience. Such sites or their individual pages may be disabled or temporarily unavailable at times. We recommend breaking such large sites into multiple related sites and/or disabling dynamic sidebar elements such as automatically organized navigation and recent site activity.
