I can't access the Admin console

The Admin console is where you, as an administrator, manage your Google users and services. If you signed up for a service such as Cloud Identity or G Suite, you are an administrator.

I forgot my administrator password

If there's another Google admin in your organization with Super Admin privileges, ask the admin to reset your password. Otherwise, you can reset your own password as follows:

  1. Go to
  2. Enter your admin username if it doesn't already appear on the sign-in page (for example,, and click Next.
  3. Click Forgot password? and follow the instructions to reset your password.

I forgot my administrator username

Your username is your email address from your domain (, not your Gmail address. To retrieve your username:

  1. Go to
  2. On the sign-in page, click Forgot email? and follow the instructions to retrieve your username.

Someone else already administers the domain I own

Managed Google accounts can have multiple administrators. Contact the person who administers your managed Google account to grant you administrator privileges.

I received the message, " is for G Suite accounts only. Regular Gmail accounts cannot be used to sign in to"

You’re receiving this message because you are signed in to Gmail account instead of an admin account associated with a managed Google account (such as G Suite or Cloud Identity).

Click Add account and sign in using your G Suite or Cloud Identity administrator credentials. The sign-in email address is from your domain.

I received the message "Sorry, Google doesn't recognize that email."

Check the domain name for typing errors. If the domain name is correct, your domain isn’t properly registered with your managed Google account:

Your domain isn’t signed up for your managed Google account

Sign up your domain for a managed Google account such as G Suite (at or Cloud Identity.

You aren’t signing in with your primary domain address

Your managed Google account has a primary domain, but you might have added a secondary domain or domain alias to your account. Sign in to the Admin console with an email address from your account’s primary domain.

Your account has been deactivated or deleted

Your account is deactivated if you don’t verify ownership of your domain within a few days before the end of your free trial period (G Suite only). It’s also possible that an administrator in your organization deleted your account.

You can sign up again for G Suite at It can take up to 7 days before you can use the domain with a new account.
