Import contacts

You can import your contacts or address book from GrandCentral, Outlook, Hotmail, Yahoo!, and other services, into Google Voice. To get started, you need to export your contacts into a CSV file. Contacts exported from other mail providers are sometimes already formatted as CSV files, or you can create your own CSV file.

Once you have a CSV file with all your contacts' information, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to Google Voice.
  2. Click Contacts on any Google Voice page.
  3. Click Import in the top right portion of the Contacts section.
  4. Click the Browse... button and find the CSV file you'd like to upload.
  5. Select the file and click the Import button and your contacts should be transferred to Google Voice.
You can only import up to 3000 contacts at a time. If you have more than 3000 contacts, you'll need to create multiple CSV files to upload.
