Issues accessing storage after January Google Play System update
Google Pixel•2024/1/31
January 31, 2024
We are aware of a storage issue occurring on a small number of Pixel phones that have received the January Google Play system update, causing some devices to behave incorrectly. If your device was impacted, you might notice multiple apps crashing, screenshots not saving, and external storage working inconsistently.
This issue is more prevalent in devices with multiple user accounts and/or workprofiles. We are working on a fix for the root system update issue and we will update this thread when we have more details. Feel free to reach out to our support team if you have any questions.
In the meantime, if you have a Windows, MacOS or Linux computer available and are comfortable installing and using some developer tools, you can restore storage functionality to your device without causing data loss:
- Enable ‘Developer options’ within Settings on your Pixel phone by:
- Navigating to Settings > About phone > Build number
- Tapping the Build Number option seven times until you see the message ‘You are now a developer!’ This enables Developer options on your device
- Go to Settings > System > Developer options
- Under Developer options enable USB debugging
- Connect your Pixel phone to your computer via USB-C cable.
- If device shows “Charging this device via USB” -> tap for more options and set to “File Transfer”
- If device shows “Charging this device via USB” -> tap for more options and set to “File Transfer”
- Click here to download Android’s folder of Platform Tools to your computer, which includes the Android Debug Bridge (ADB) application.
- After unzipping the downloaded folder, open your terminal / command prompt.
- Within Terminal / Command prompt:
- Change your working directory to the platform-tools directory you just extracted the tools to.
- Type “./adb devices” (“adb devices” in Windows) and press the Enter key.
- If the result within Terminal lists your phone as “Unauthorized” – your Pixel phone is likely prompting you to allow USB debugging. Tap Allow and retry this step so that your phone is listed as “device” within Terminal.
- Input the following commands in your Terminal, pressing the Enter key after each line:
- “./adb uninstall com.google.android.media.swcodec”
- “./adb uninstall com.google.android.media”
- Disconnect your Pixel phone from your computer
- Restart your Pixel phone (your device might disconnect from network, this is OK)
- On Pixel 5a and earlier: Press your phone's Power button for about 30 seconds, or until your phone restarts
- On Pixel 6 and later, including Fold: Press and hold the Power and Volume up buttons at the same time until your phone restarts
- Return your phone and computer to their previous settings:
- Turn off USB debugging
- Go to Settings and scroll to the System section (on Android 8 and above, go to Settings > System)
- Tap Developer Options.
- Tap the button to toggle developer options Off. USB Debugging is included in Developer Options
- Stop adb:
- Type “./adb kill-server” in your Terminal window and press the Enter key. Exit the Terminal application.
- Turn off USB debugging
We're sorry for the inconvenience this has caused, and we appreciate your patience.
Issues accessing storage after updating to Android 14
Google Pixel•2023/10/30
Update 11/10/23
The November Update is now available to all users. Please see the following paths depending on your device issue:
For impacted devices unable to access media storage: The November system update should fully restore data to devices that are unable to access media storage. If you have not yet received the update, you can go to Settings > System > System Update to trigger the update immediately.
For impacted devices that are repeatedly rebooting: Today, we are publishing a specialized solution via Pixel Repair Tool to recover partial data for devices that are repeatedly rebooting. This process offers the same solution as the form submission we detailed in earlier updates. This specialized solution will also enable devices that have been stuck in the repeat reboot state to receive the official November system update.
If you’d like to try the process on your own, please visit one of the following links to the Pixel Repair Tool based on your carrier, where you can find on-screen instructions:
- For AT&T (Pixel 6, 6 Pro, 6a), all Japanese carriers (Pixel 7, 7 Pro, 7a, Fold), click here.
- For all other devices/carriers, click here.
If you previously submitted the form to receive this November Update, you will hear from our Pixel Support team via the provided email address as early as Monday, November 13th to walk you through the data recovery process. This process is the same as the specialized solution detailed above. The form is now closed, so please reach out to Pixel Support with any additional questions.
Thank you again for your patience as we continue to work through this issue. For any other questions or concerns, please contact Pixel Support.
Update 11/7/23
We’ve started rolling out the official November Update for Pixel devices, which helps remedy some of these issues and prevents new devices from being impacted. While the update continues to roll out over the next week, here’s what you need to know depending on the issue impacting your device:
- Device is unable to access media storage – Once these devices receive the official November Update, data should be fully restored. If you are experiencing this issue and you don’t want to wait for the November update, you can complete this form to return your phone to a normal state.
- Device is repeatedly rebooting – Since these devices cannot successfully boot, your device will not be able to receive the November update. You’ll first need to submit this form to enable your device to reboot normally before you can receive the update. Data recovery solutions are still being investigated for devices that are repeatedly rebooting. We’ll share additional updates soon.
Note that if you signed up for the Android Beta program to resolve this issue and wish to exit, you can wait until the December Update to do so without wiping your data, or you can opt-out now but user data on the device will be wiped.
Thank you again for your patience as we continue to work through this issue. For any other questions or concerns, please contact Pixel Support.
Update 11/02/2023
Thanks again for your patience. Starting in the next two weeks, we’ll roll out an Android update for impacted users that will return their devices to an operable state. Unfortunately, this update may not enable data to be recovered for devices that are repeatedly rebooting.
In the meantime, we’re actively working with users 1:1 via Pixel Support to share temporary workarounds that may help. See below for a brief summary of the temporary workarounds currently available:
- Factory Data Reset (FDR) – This will clear your device’s storage, so we only recommend this if you have recently backed up your data. FDR can be completed even if your phone is repeatedly rebooting using the device’s buttons.
- Over The Air (OTA) Test Update – We’re currently testing the upcoming Android System update over-the-air. For devices where the primary user is unable to access media storage, this may help remedy the issue without clearing your device’s data. Complete this form to receive the test update within 24 hours, which can take 1-2 hours to fully update.
Original 10/29/2023
We are aware of an issue occurring on some Pixel devices (Pixel 6 and later models) that have both received the Android 14 update and have multiple users (other than the primary user) set up. Multiple users include users, guests, restricted profiles, and child users. However, it does not include having more than one Google account within the primary user or work profiles.
Depending on the device, this issue can result in the primary user being unable to access media storage. Alternatively, the issue can reboot the device with a “Factory data reset” message. If this message is accepted, data that is not backed up can be lost, and if it is declined, the device repeatedly reboots with the “Pixel is starting” message.
We’re continuing to work on fixes for impacted devices, and have already pushed out a Google Play system update that will help prevent this issue from being triggered on additional devices. To check if a Google Play system update is available for your device, follow the instructions in this Help Center article.
If you’re experiencing this issue: If your impacted device is unable to access media storage, we anticipate a system update will repair the issue and restore access to media files without requiring a factory reset. If your device is stuck in a "Pixel is starting" boot loop due to this issue, we are investigating methods that may be able to recover some data. We’ll provide more information as soon as it is available.
For users who are not experiencing this issue, or have already factory reset their device, we recommend avoiding creating or logging into a secondary user on the device until the OTA update is available.
We're sorry for the inconvenience this has caused, and we appreciate your patience.

C-Band rolling out to Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro for Verizon users
Google Pixel•2022/3/21
Starting today, Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are certified for C-Band on Verizon, and users can begin using this service. Please check with your carrier to see where these networks are available and if you have the right plan to access them.
Earlier 5G-capable Pixel models have C-band capable hardware and are enabled for operation in certain countries. Please check with your carrier to see which networks are accessible for your device. At this time, we do not have any plans to support C-band operation in the U.S. on Pixel 4a (5G), Pixel 5, or Pixel 5a (5G). These models will continue to have access to the Sub 6 and mmW services provided based on your carrier, plan, and location.

Snap at night, type responses in calls and more from Pixel
Google Pixel•2022/3/7

Your Pixel gets a boost of helpfulness with Feature Drops. They’re automatic software updates that send new features, tricks, and apps to your phone. So your Pixel keeps getting better and more helpful as time goes on *[1].
The latest features will begin rolling out to Pixel devices starting on March 7th, continuing in stages over the next two weeks. The update will begin to roll out for Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro users starting later this month. Be sure to update to the latest Android version and update your Android apps, then look out for a notification from the Tips app to learn more about all of the ways your Pixel just got more helpful.
More ways to communicate with captions.
Live Caption is expanding to support people who cannot or prefer not to speak on phone calls to communicate on the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Now you can see captions of what the other person says and type back a response that will be read out loud on the other end *[2].
Night Sight in Snapchat.
Night Sight lets you take amazing photos in low light. Now that same technology is available right in the Snapchat app. Just select low light mode, and you’ll never miss a moment, even in the dark *[3].
Know thy battery power.
Pixel’s new battery widget shows you the battery level of your Pixel and other Bluetooth®-connected devices like Pixel Buds *[4]. So you’ll never be caught by surprise by a low battery.
Make your messages more fun.
Why just say it when you can show it? Custom text stickers let you turn your text into something more expressive and personalized. Just tap an emoji and your Pixel will show you options for turning your words into fun illustrated stickers *[5].
Do more from your lock screen.
At a Glance shows you useful info like the battery levels of your connected devices, and safety check countdowns on your lock and home screens – so you can keep track of what’s happening with just, well, a glance. All without having to unlock your phone *[6].
More languages. More ways to translate.
With Live Translate on Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, you can communicate in different languages. Pixel can now translate your face-to-face conversations in Spanish, Italian, and French – all on your phone. Just say, “Hey Google, be my interpreter.” With Live Caption, your Pixel can now identify Spanish in YouTube and other media, and translate it automatically *[7].
Calling a business just got easier.
Pixel helps you save time when you call a business. It shows you the best times to call to avoid long waits *[8]. You can also see and tap the company’s menu options so you can get to the right place with less hassle *[9]. Now available on Pixel 3a or newer phones.
Transcribe in more languages.
Recorder lets you instantly transcribe audio into text so you can search, edit, and share your recordings *[10]. It’s fast, it’s easy, and it’s now available in Spanish and Italian on Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.
New cultural wallpapers.
Keep your Pixel screens culturally relevant with the latest Curated Culture wallpaper collection. This latest installment celebrates International Women’s Day with 3 new wallpapers created by artist Manjit Thapp. She is an illustrator based in the UK whose work revolves around female characters. She combines digital and traditional media, layering patterns and textures to create her illustrations. Her work is inspired by bold colors, everyday feelings, nature, and fashion.

December 2021 Update Paused
Google Pixel•2021/12/30
Hey Pixel Community,
The Pixel team paused the December software update to Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro devices after some users reported calls were dropping or disconnecting. We have now identified a fix that will roll out in a software update by late January. This update will also include all the fixes and improvements that were originally planned in December. If you received the December software update on Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro and are still experiencing mobile connectivity issues, you can revert to the previous software version using the Android Flash Tool (flash.android.com) and performing a factory reset. Please back up your phone before restoring to the previous software version. If you are not experiencing mobile connectivity issues, no action is required. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we roll out the fix.
Update: The January software update will start rolling out to Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro devices today. Check out the January Pixel Update post to learn more about the software. This software will include all the fixes listed for the December update as well as the January update.
Your Pixel Community Manager,
Camille

Hey Marko and Pixel Community,
When using a Pixel device outside of the supported regions, double-checking that the device’s network hardware is compatible with your carrier is important. Please use caution and understand that your Pixel device may not be compatible with your carrier in using 5G, VoLTE, and Wi-Fi calling outside of a supported region. When we launch in each region, we work to ensure that our device hardware is compatible with their major carrier networks.
Sincerely,
Camille, Pixel Community Manager

Hey Eric and Pixel Community,
We have received reports of issues with sensitivity and lingering for the Game Dashboard icon. In the December update, we have fixed all issues with icon lingering . While we work on the sensitivity issues, we recommend trying the following steps to shift the placement of the icon:
- Launch the Settings app
- Go to Apps
- Tap Game settings
- Toggle to enable Game Dashboard - Show Game Dashboard shortcut in games
Note: This will not remove the icon entirely, but allows you to move the icon to a desired position.
Your Pixel Community Manager,
Camille

Quick Tap to Snap and other Pixel updates
Google Pixel•2021/12/6
Your Pixel gets a boost of helpfulness with Feature Drops. They’re automatic software updates that send new features, tricks, and apps to your phone, making it better and more helpful as time goes on. Your Pixel now recognizes more songs, lets you access Snapchat from your lock screen*[1], and more. Everything happens over the air, so you get the new-phone feeling without needing to get a new phone*[2].
The features will begin rolling out to Pixel devices starting on December 6th, continuing in stages over the next two weeks. The update will begin to roll out for Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro users starting later this month. Update to the latest Android version and update your Android apps to receive the latest features. Once updated, look out for a notification from the Tips app to learn more about all of the ways your Pixel just got more helpful.
An easier way to share files with people around you.
Nearby Share lets you send photos, videos, files, map locations, and more. Now you can quickly find nearby UWB devices to share with through the highlighted arc right on your screen*[3].
Your Pixel is also a car key.
With digital car key, you can lock, unlock, and even start your car with your phone. Now, on select BMW models, you can do all of these things from your Pixel with just a tap*[4].
Quick Tap to Snap.
You can already customize the actions your Pixel takes when you use Quick Tap, from taking a screenshot to playing music. With Quick Tap to Snap, now you can access Snapchat directly from your lock screen, making Pixel the fastest phone to open Snapchat. Simply tap twice on the back of your Pixel to open Snapchat, so you’ll never miss a shareable moment*[1]. Starting in December you’ll also be able to apply a new Pixel-exclusive Lens – Pixel Face – to your Snaps. Look out more for Pixel-exclusive Lenses in future feature drops.
Find even more music with new features in Now Playing.
Now Playing’s new search button can help you find much more music. If your phone hasn’t identified a track automatically, tap the search button to use Google to find it*[5]. And now, when you find a track you like, you can save it to your favorites so you can easily go back and listen to it later*[6]. Just tap the musical note next to the track recognition on your lock screen to add it as a favorite. Find your favorites in Now Playing history.
Your Pixel can call for help, even if you can’t.
When car crash detection is turned on in the Personal Safety app, your phone can help detect if you’ve been in a severe car accident*[8]. If a crash is detected, your phone will check in with you to see if you’re OK. If there’s no response, Pixel can share your location and other relevant details with emergency responders. Car crash detection is now supported in Taiwan, Italy, and France, in addition to Spain, Ireland, Japan, the UK, Australia, Singapore, and the US.
Recorder now transcribes in more languages.
Recorder lets you instantly transcribe audio into text so you can search, edit, and share your recordings. It’s fast, it’s easy, and it’s now available in Japanese, French, and German on Pixel 3 and newer Pixel phones*[9].
It’s all about that bass.
Get more control over the bass levels on your Pixel Buds A-Series*[10]. You can now use a slider that lets you adjust the bass from -1 to +4, giving you twice the bass range you have now. So go ahead and pump up that bass.
New Curated Culture wallpapers.
Keep your Pixel screens culturally relevant with the latest Curated Culture wallpaper collection*[11]. This latest installment celebrates International Day of People with Disabilities. We worked with Dana Kearley (she/they), a chronically ill and disabled multidisciplinary artist. Their work is inherently autobiographical, and is grounded in tenderness, sickness, and disability. It explores the complexities and nuances of living in a sick and disabled body while playfully using color, texture, light, and shadow.
Press and hold the power button to get help from Google.
With Android 12, you can now press and hold the power button to get help from your Google Assistant. You can also adjust how long you’d like to hold the power button to activate Google Assistant*[7].

Introducing the new Pixel Stand
Google Pixel•2021/11/18

In October, we announced on our blog that we would be introducing faster wireless charging access for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. We’re delighted to reveal that the Pixel Stand (2nd gen) is here! The new Pixel Stand charges the Pixel 6 at up to 21W and Pixel 6 Pro at up to 23W with the help of a nearly silent fan to keep things cool for hours of power in minutes of charge.
The Pixel Stand (2nd gen) is now available for pre-order in the United States and eight other countries, and launches on December 13.
Pre-order a Pixel Stand on the Google Store online and at our Chelsea, NYC location.
Update 12/30/2021:
The software update which enables fast wireless charging up to 23W on Pixel 6 and 6 Pro will roll out by late January 2022. Customers will need to update their devices to software version SQ1D.211205.016.A1, SQ1D.220105.xxx or newer and complete Pixel Stand app onboarding to unlock fast wireless charging. Check & update your Android version to make sure your device is on the latest software version or newer.
How charging works on Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro
Google Pixel•2021/11/18
The Pixel 6 Series was designed to deliver battery life that lasts all day. Incorporating some of Pixel’s largest batteries encouraged upgrades to charging as well: from a user perspective, a bigger battery shouldn’t have to mean it takes longer to charge to 100%.
Battery cell design determines the maximum charging power required for smartphones. A battery can be designed for high energy density, or for fast charging power capability, which requires trading off capacity to minimize battery degradation.
Google has designed the high energy density cells in Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro to strike a balance between battery life, longevity and fast charging. Regardless of available power coming from the wall plug, the actual power delivered through a full charge cycle varies over the course of a single charge. The charge rate at any moment is based on factors such as battery cell and system design, temperature, system usage, and state of charge.
We’ve optimized Pixel’s lithium-ion battery for high charge rates when the battery level is low. Pixel 6 can get up to 50% in around 30 minutes (with Google’s 30W USB-C Power Charger), and quickly reaches up to 80% in about an hour, depending on device usage and temperature.1 The peak power that Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro draw from the wired charger is 21W and 23W, respectively. As the battery gets closer to full, charging power is gradually reduced in order to improve battery longevity.

Pixel may also pause charging above 80% under certain conditions, and if you enable Adaptive Charging, Pixel can optimize charge rates for gradual overnight charging. Taken together, these approaches help you charge your Pixel quickly when the battery is low, but also help minimize degradation to preserve the lifespan of your battery.
Wired charging and wireless charging
The Pixel 6/Pro is designed to work with existing USB PD and BC1.2 wall chargers. However, it can charge more efficiently with chargers like our 30W USB-C Power Adapter which supports the new USB PD 3.0 PPS standard.
Wireless charging is typically less efficient, and is therefore slower, than wired charging. The new Pixel Stand was designed along with the 30W USB-C charger to enable fast, convenient wireless charging, with an active cooling fan to dissipate heat. Together, the new Pixel Stand and Google’s 30W USB-C Power Adapter can deliver the maximum power needed to charge the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro rapidly.
1 Charging testing conducted by Google in mid-2021 on pre-production hardware and software using default settings with the device powered on. Charging speed depends upon many factors including usage during charging, battery age and ambient temperature. Actual charging speed may be lower.

Introducing the Pixel 5a with 5G
Google Pixel•2021/8/17
Hi Pixel Community,
We’re very excited to reveal our newest phone, the Pixel 5a with 5G! The newest entry to the Pixel A-series adds a larger OLED display, larger battery, and new premium features, including IP67 water resistance (1).
To explore some of the features the Pixel 5a has to offer, check out our latest blog post and read up on the tech specs.
The Pixel 5a with 5G is now available for pre-order in the United States and Japan on the Google Store and launches on August 26.
Pixel 5a with 5G FAQs
Where can I order the device?
In the U.S. Pixel 5a with 5G will be available for purchase on the Google Store and Google Fi (full price or with the Fi subscription program). In Japan, the phone will be available on the Google Store and from Softbank.
How much does it cost?
All details on pricing in selected markets can be found at the Google Store.
How is the battery life?
Pixel 5a with 5G features the largest battery that we’ve ever shipped in an A-Series Pixel phone at 4680 mAh (2). The Pixel 5a with 5G also has features like Adaptive Battery, which learns your favorite apps and reduces power to the ones you rarely use, helping your battery last all day (3). Another great feature, Extreme Battery Saver, helps your Pixel last up to 48 hours (4) when you really need it, by letting you pick your essential apps and pausing all other apps while still letting you access them when you need them.
How is the camera?
Pixel 5a with 5G features a 12.2MP Dual Pixel rear camera and an accompanying ultrawide lens along with an 8MP front-facing camera. Hardware is only half of the Pixel magic. You’ll find our latest version of HDR+ with bracketed exposures, our fifth-generation stabilization with enhanced motion correction, and Night Sight built into default -- and Portrait! -- modes for amazing results in very low light.
What kind of 5G speeds should customers expect to get on a Pixel 5a with 5G?
While Pixel 5a with 5G is ready to connect and provide 5G speeds and service, we advise customers to keep in mind that 5G service, speed and performance depend on many factors including, but not limited to, carrier network capabilities, device configuration and capabilities, network traffic, location, signal strength and signal obstruction. A 5G data plan is also required (sold separately). See g.co/pixel/networkinfo for info.
(1) Screen and battery size compared to Pixel 4a (5G). Pixel 5a (5G) has a water protection rating of IPx7 under IEC standard 60529. Charger and accessories are not water resistant. Water resistance is not a permanent condition and may be compromised due to normal wear and tear, repair, disassembly or damage.
(2) Estimate of typical capacity based upon testing and expected cell behavior.
(3) Maximum battery life based on testing using a mix of talk, data, standby, and use of other features. Battery life depends upon many factors and usage of certain features will decrease battery life. Pixel 5a (5G) battery testing conducted by a third party in California in early 2021 on pre-production hardware and software, using default settings. Testing conducted on two major carrier networks using Sub-6 GHz non-standalone 5G (ENDC) connectivity. Actual battery life may be lower.
(4) For “All day”: Maximum battery life based on testing using a mix of talk, data, standby, and use of other features. Testing conducted on 2 major carrier networks using Sub-6 GHz non-standalone 5G (ENDC) connectivity. For “Up to 48 hours”: Maximum battery life based on testing using a mix of talk, data, standby, and use of limited other features that are default in Extreme Battery Saver mode (which disables various features including 5G connectivity). Testing conducted on 2 major carrier networks. For both claims: Pixel 5a (5G) battery testing conducted by a third party in California in [early 2021] on pre-production hardware and software using default settings, except that, for the “up to 48 hour claim” only, Extreme Battery Saver mode was enabled. Battery life depends upon many factors and usage of certain features will decrease battery life. Actual battery life may be lower.Google Android Pixel Security Update - Aug 2021

Following up with an update on this thread.
For Pixel 4 XL users that see the Unknown battery message, it is an indicator the battery needs to be repaired or replaced. This could be for a variety of reasons, so we recommend that users reach out to Pixel Support since the Pixel 4 XL qualifies for the extended repair program.

Another boost of helpfulness from Google
Google Pixel•2021/6/7
Your Pixel is about to get smarter and more fun, while helping you feel safer, with the latest Feature Drop*[1]. From making a video of the night sky with Night Sight*[2] to protecting photos and videos in a Locked Folder to alerts reminding you to look up while you’re out walking, your Pixel is now more helpful than ever.
The features will begin rolling out to Pixel devices starting on June 7, continuing in stages over the next two weeks*[1]. Update to the latest Android version and update your Android apps to receive the latest features. Once updated, look out for a notification from the Tips app to learn more about the ways your Pixel just got more helpful.
Capture the stars in motion
Astrophotography in Night Sight lets you take beautiful photos of the stars. Now you can take it a step further and create a video of the stars moving across the night sky in the app*[2]. It all happens during the same exposure, so you get an amazing still photo as well as a video you can easily share.
Use your phone safely while walking
Stay alert when using your phone while you’re out and about. With Digital Wellbeing, your Pixel can detect that you’re walking and periodically remind you to look up from your screen so you can be mindful of your surroundings.
A hidden space for photos and videos
Some photos and videos need extra privacy. You can move photos and videos to your Locked Folder in Google Photos, or save them to the Locked Folder right after taking them and they’ll stay on your device. Images and videos in your Locked Folder won’t show up in shared albums, memories, or any other apps on your devices, and can only be viewed using your device passcode or fingerprint.
Your Pixel can call for help, even if you can’t
When car crash detection is turned on in the Personal Safety app, your phone can help detect if you’ve been in a severe accident*[3]. If a crash is detected, your phone will check in with you to make sure you’re OK. If there’s no response, Pixel can share your location and other relevant details with emergency responders. Car crash detection is now supported in Spain, Ireland, and Singapore, in addition to the UK, Australia, and the US.
Find out who’s calling before you pick up
Call Screen helps you avoid spam calls. Google can answer unknown numbers and find out who’s calling and why, so you can decide whether to pick up. And now, it’s available in Japan*[4].
Transcribe in more dialects of English
Recorder lets you instantly transcribe audio into text so you can search, edit and share your recordings*[5]. It’s fast, it’s easy and it will soon be available in more English dialects, including Singaorean, Australian, Irish, and British English.
Show your pride on your Pixel
Celebrate Pride on your phone with new wallpapers and ringtones. Three bold, joyful designs, each created especially for Google by artist Ashton Attzs, join our growing Curated Culture wallpaper collection. And new Pride-themed ringtones and notification sounds created by LGBTQ+ artists and YouTube Creators can be found in your settings.
Use your voice to answer or reject calls
Receive calls hands-free, whether you’re driving, cooking or just want to work without interruptions. Just say, “Hey Google, answer call” or “Hey Google, reject call” *[6].
Cut and paste essential info even faster
Cutting and pasting important information just got easier with Gboard. When you copy text that includes things like a phone number, email address, or URL, you’ll see the important pieces of information suggested in the clipboard*[7]. You can easily drop them into places like Messages to share contact information quickly, or Maps to get started on your road trip faster.
