Enable local in your Shopping campaigns

  This is step 5 of local inventory ads setup.

This page details how to set up and optimize a Shopping campaign to run your local inventory ads. You need to have an active Shopping campaign in your Google Ads account. If you don’t have one, create a Google Ads account.

Local inventory ads offers a number of ways to customize your setup and improve your performance. Check out local inventory ads optimization features.

Steps

Log in to your Google Ads account and choose one of the following options:

Option 1: Shopping Campaign

  1. Click on the name of your existing Shopping campaign, or create a new Shopping campaign if you don't already have one.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Shopping campaign settings > Additional settings > Local products, check the Enable ads for products sold in local stores box and click Save.

Option 2: Smart Shopping Campaign

  1. Click on the name of your existing  Smart Shopping campaign, or create a new campaign. Learn more about creating Smart Shopping campaigns.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Shopping campaign settings > Additional settings > Local products, check the Enable ads for products sold in local stores box and click Save.

Note: Connect your Google Ads account to your Merchant Center account. In Merchant Center, open the 3-dot dropdown and click Account linking. Then, click LINK ACCOUNT.
