Important information for Netbanking users in India
Important:
From October 2025 onwards, Netbanking is discontinued as an accepted form of payment on Google Play until further notice.

Due to Reserve Bank of India (RBI) card storage regulations, from October 1, 2022, Google can’t save customer card details such as card number, expiry date, etc. in the current format. With your authorization, we’ll save your card details in a format that complies with RBI regulations and keep your sensitive card details secure. Google Play supports UPI for all providers. You can use UPI to purchase subscriptions for apps that offer subscriptions.
You can make recurring payments with UPI Autopay through a mandate. For example, you can do this for monthly subscription payments for Youtube Premium, Google One, and others. With this feature, you can set up the amount, frequency, or duration of automatic payments that won’t require your authentication every time.
