Use affiliate location extensions

Use affiliate location extensions to help people find retail chains that sell your products.

The new Google Ads experience is now the exclusive way for most users to manage their accounts. Note, automatic targeting is only available in the new Google Ads experience.

You can use affiliate location extensions at the level of your account, a campaign, or an ad group. To get started, add them at the account level. You can then customize the chain locations to show at the campaign or ad group level.

  1. Sign in to your AdWords account.

  2. For account-level affiliate location extensions, start from All campaigns.

  3. Click the Ad extensions tab.

  4. Select View: Affiliate location extensions from the drop-down menu.

  5. Click +Extension.

  6. Specify the retail chains where your products are sold. If you want to add auto chains, select “Auto dealers.” Otherwise, select from “General retailers.”

  7. Click Save.

  8. To add affiliate location extensions at the campaign or ad group-level, repeat steps 3-7 .

    • You can choose to add all account-level locations or a subset of account-level locations. You may also choose “No affiliate retail chains” to keep the extension from showing for specific campaigns or ad groups.
