What should I know about Fitbit Premium?

Take care of yourself and your health with Fitbit Premium.

Daily readiness is now available to all Fitbit users. If you don’t see your score, make sure your Fitbit app is updated to version 4.23 or higher. For more information, refer to How do I use the Fitbit app?

You might notice a change in how your score is calculated. For more information, refer to What’s my daily readiness score in the Fitbit app?

If you sign in to the Fitbit app using a Google account, visit support.google.com to manage or cancel your Fitbit Premium subscription.

Note: If you purchased an annual Fitbit Premium subscription through fitbit.com, you will need to resubscribe to Fitbit Premium through the Fitbit app when your current subscription ends. Auto-renewals of annual memberships purchased on fitbit.com will stop being effective on February 29, 2024.

Fitbit Premium brings personalized fitness to your fingertips.1 Get advanced insights, personalized recommendations, energizing workouts, and more.

  • Receive Daily Picks of workout content, personalized based on your body’s state of recovery, and your preferences like workout or activity types, intensity levels, equipment availability, and workout duration

    The more you know about your body, the more you can maximize performance. Get personalized recommendations & advanced insights to help you hit your goals each day.2

  • Switch up your routine with a library of energizing workouts from Fitbit Premium’s expert trainers and even Peloton instructors. Tap the Coach tab to get started.

  • At home, in the gym, or on the road, Premium users can now access the magic of Peloton workouts led by their expert Instructors. Discover a routine that strengthens your mind and your body.

    Peloton classes in the Fitbit app are currently available in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia (English only).2

  • Explore a library of mindfulness content and guided meditations to help with relaxation, sleep, body positivity, and more. Tap the Coach tab Mindfulness to get started.

    Better understand how your body handles stress with a daily score and a breakdown of what's affecting it (available on certain devices).

  • Get AI powered run recommendations – delivered daily, tailored to your recovery, and personalized to your recent runs, goals, and preferences.

How do I purchase or start my trial of Fitbit Premium?
  1. In the Fitbit app, tap the You tab , tap Try Fitbit Premium.

  2. Choose a 1-year or monthly subscription to start after your trial, and follow the instructions to subscribe.
     

    Note: Fitbit Premium memberships can also be purchased on the Google Store.
    If the Fitbit device you purchased indicates that it includes a trial to Fitbit Premium, but you are currently a Fitbit Premium member, then you must cancel your Premium subscription in order to be able to activate the trial. About 1-3 days after your canceled subscription expires, you’ll find an offer in the Fitbit app to begin the trial. For instructions on how to cancel your Fitbit Premium subscription, refer to How do I manage or cancel my Fitbit Premium subscription?


    Using a Google Account or Google One Membership: If you signed in to the Fitbit app with your Google account or have access to Premium through a Google One membership, visit support.google.com to manage or cancel your subscription.

    Using a Fitbit Login: If you signed in to the Fitbit app with a Fitbit login (username and password), follow the instructions below (replace with the actual instructions for Fitbit login users).

How do I manage or cancel my Fitbit Premium subscription?
  • Signed up with Google account or Google One membership? Visit support.google.com to manage or cancel your subscription.
  • Signed up with a Fitbit login? Follow the instructions below.
I purchased my subscription in the Fitbit app

Cancel your subscription through your phone’s app store. If you purchased a Fitbit Premium subscription in your phone’s app store, but you don’t have access to your subscription in the Fitbit app, follow the steps below to restore your purchase. If you still don't have access to your subscription, use the instructions to cancel the purchase through fitbit.com.

To cancel your subscription in the Fitbit app:

  1. In the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab  your profile picture.
  2. Tap Fitbit Settings  Fitbit Premium. Your active subscriptions will open in your phone’s app store.
  3. Tap your Fitbit Premium subscription  Cancel Subscription. Note that this option won't be available if you already canceled your subscription. Your subscription expires at the end of your current monthly or yearly subscription term.
Note: If you purchased your subscription in the Google Play Store using PayPal, but your subscription doesn't appear, cancel your subscription from your PayPal account. For more information, visit the PayPal help site.

To restore your subscription purchase:

  1. From the You tab  in the Fitbit app, tap Get Fitbit Premium.
  2. At the bottom of the page, tap Restore Purchase. Follow the on-screen instructions to restore your subscription.
I purchased my subscription on the Google Store
  1. Go to the Google Store  click the account icon  and log in with the Google Account connected to your Fitbit Premium subscription.
  2. Click your profile picture on the top right  Subscriptions.
  3. Tap a subscription  Payment Detail  Cancel Subscription.
What are Fitbit Premium insights?

Fitbit Premium insights use your health and fitness data to provide customized tips and observations to help you reach your goals. The insights you receive with your Fitbit Premium subscription are more personalized than standard insights in the Fitbit app.

Premium users can access personalized running form insights. These insights, available on Google Pixel Watch 3, help you improve your running technique and reduce the risk of injury.

By analyzing your cadence, stride length, and other metrics, you can identify areas for improvement and optimize your performance. Additionally, you'll receive tailored guides, progress updates, and alerts on your device to stay motivated and track your achievements.

To check your insight, tap the Today tab . Please note that you may not receive a new insight every day.

How do I start a Fitbit Premium workout?

Choose from a variety of guided workouts for all fitness levels in the Fitbit app.

  1. From the Fitbit app, tap the Coach tab  and choose a workout type.
  2. Tap an exercise to read the description.
  3. Tap Play to start.
Who can sign up for Fitbit Premium?

Fitbit Premium is available in many regions where Fitbit products are sold. For more information, refer to the Premium page on the Fitbit website.

Make sure the Fitbit app is up-to-date to start your subscription.

How do I redeem my Calm Premium offer?

If you purchased Fitbit Sense on fitbit.com and add the 6-month Fitbit Premium membership, you may be eligible for a 6-month Calm Premium subscription (available in certain regions).

To redeem your offer, go to calm.com/fitbit and enter the unique code you received in the email message after your purchase. The subject line of the email message is “Calm subscription redemption code”. If you have trouble redeeming your offer, visit the Calm help site.

Note: New and returning Premium users only. 6-month Calm Premium membership is only available for non-active Calm Premium members. Only one Calm Premium membership may be redeemed per customer. While supplies last. May not be available in all locales and may be in English only.

What should I know about my Fitbit Premium Wellness Report?

Your Fitbit Premium Wellness Report details your activity, sleep, heart rate, and weight data up to the last 12 months. Export your Wellness Report from the Fitbit app to access your data or share it with a healthcare professional.

  1. From the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab  Profile  Membership benefits  Wellness Report.
  2. Tap Preview report  Request my report. When your report is ready, you’ll receive a notification in the Fitbit app. Your report may take a few minutes to appear in your inbox.
  3. From the Today tab , tap Inbox .
Note (Android only): If you can't find the report in your Inbox , check the Files app on your phone. Open the Files app  search for your Fitbit wellness report  tap to open the file with Adobe Acrobat.
  1. Tap the Personal Health Report notification, which stays in your inbox for up to 30 days.
  2. Tap View Report to open the report on your phone, or tap Share to send the report to yourself or a healthcare professional.

Note the following:

  • You must have at least 30 days of data to generate a Wellness Report.
  • Certain data requires a heart-rate enabled device to track.
  • Only data you track or log appears in the Wellness Report. For example, you must log your weight in the Fitbit app to include weight data in your report.

If you have trouble with Fitbit Premium, contact the Customer Support page and tap Fitbit Premium.

How do I activate Fitbit Premium?
Your Fitbit Premium subscription automatically activates when you purchase it. If you purchased Fitbit Premium through the Google Store and don't yet have a Fitbit account, create an account using the same Google account you used for purchase. Why don't I see an active subscription in the Fitbit app?
When you purchase Fitbit Premium through the Google Store, you need to sign in to the Fitbit account using the same Google Account you used to purchase your subscription.
Why does the Fitbit app say I have two Fitbit Premium subscriptions?
If you receive a message that you have two Fitbit Premium subscriptions, you might have purchased a standalone Fitbit Premium subscription and a Google One subscription that includes Fitbit Premium. Visit support.google.com to manage or cancel your standalone Fitbit Premium subscription. For additional support, contact Customer Support.
What is Google One?
Google One is a membership plan for expanded storage which includes extra benefits to help you get more out of Google. In some locations, certain Google One subscriptions include a Fitbit Premium subscription. For more information about Google One, refer to one.google.com/faq. Note that in order to use the included Fitbit Premium subscription, you must use your Google account to sign in to Fitbit.
