Invite members
If you're new to Google Fi, you can start a group plan when you sign up.
If you already use Google Fi:

- You can keep your device protection if you already added it to your device.

Flexible planThe Flexible plan is best if you mostly use Wi-Fi and don’t use a lot of data. Unlimited calls and text for the group plan owner is $20 per month and each extra group member is $15 per month. Shared data is $10 per GB for all group members until you reach your Bill Protection level. Each month, your group's owner gets one bill and is charged for member's calls, texts, and how much data they’ve used and any device financing and device protection payments.

Learn about member roles & controls
OwnerYour group's owner is the primary member of your group. The owner makes all your group's payments and handles all billing options. The owner can also:
- Change the billing plan for the entire group.
- Assign different roles for any member.
- Add and remove members.
- Review every member's current cycle details, including international call logs.
- Edit any member’s data plan and international settings.
- Pause Google Fi service for any member.
- Pause Google Fi mobile data service for any member.
- Start device protection for any of their own purchases.
- File claims for and cancel a device protection plan under their name or under any other members in the group plan.
Your group can only have one owner. This role can’t be changed to another person.
Your group owner can assign the role of manager to one or more members of your group. Managers can:
- Add and remove members.
- Review every member's current cycle details, including international call logs.
- Edit any member’s data plan and international settings.
- Pause Google Fi service for any member.
- Pause Google Fi mobile data service for any member.
- File claims for and cancel a device protection plan, if the plan is in their name and they got the plan before they joined the group.
- Add device protection for their own purchase.
Group members who aren’t owners or managers can:
- Review their own current cycle details, including call logs.
- Edit their own call and message settings.
- Pause or cancel their own Google Fi service.
- File claims for or cancel a device protection plan, if the plan is in their name before they join the group plan or if they enroll in device protection as a member when they purchase a phone.
- Add device protection if they purchase their own phone.
Pixel Pass & group plans on Fi
Subscriptions & group plans on FiYou can purchase Pixel Pass subscriptions for your group members on Fi when you buy a new device. If you buy the Pixel 6a, you can either join the Google Fi phone subscription program or subscribe to Pixel Pass. You may also choose not to join a phone subscription program.
If you're the group plan owner, you can purchase a subscription for:
- Group plan members that are on your plan
- A new member of your plan through “Add Member”
Important:
- As a group plan owner, you can’t transfer your subscription to another member of the group plan.
- Before a group member with a Google One plan that includes more than 200 GB of storage can sign up for Pixel Pass, their plan must be reduced to 200 GB or less. Once they’re subscribed, their storage plan can be increased again.
