Can't see shared Calendar on Pixel 2 using Google Calendar App

I had posted on another thread and was told to create a whole new post.

I got a pixel 2.

My husband shares his calendar with me.

I can see his calendar on the web on a PC and using Google Chrome on the Pixel 2.

I cannot see his calendar in the app. I click More, and it does not show up for me to check it. I can however see my daughter's calendar. It does not make sense that I can see one calendar, but not the other. I am really frustrated that the Google Calendar App on a Pixel 2 is not working as well as the Samsung Calendar app on a Galaxy S7. I could see my husband's calendar on my old phone, but not on my new phone.

He tried unsharing and resharing, it did not work.

I followed the all of the recommendations posted in this thread:

As well as these recommendations:

  • Try Unsyncing your Google Calendar App temporarily. Try this a few times.

    • Settings > Accounts > Google > Select your account > Uncheck Calendar > Check Calendar.

  • Try Unsyncing your Google account temporarily. Try this a few times.

    • Settings > Accounts > Google > Select your account > Uncheck Gmail > Check Gmail.

  • Remove Gmail Account and setup again.

    • Phone Setting > Accounts > Google > Select your email account > Remove account.

    • Re-establish account.

  • Try Syncing over WIFI only (Airplane mode) or Over your network only.

Hello there,

Welcome to the Google Calendar Help Forum, and I appreciate your troubleshooting efforts.

To help me investigate about why you're unable to see the shared Calendar on Pixel 2 using Google Calendar app, please confirm a couple of things:
  1. Have you synced your Google Calendar with any other calendar application?
  2. Also, do you use any third party app with Google Calendar?
Awaiting your response.

Best,
Sarah

Not syncing with another product. Not using third party. I used to use Samsung built in calendar and I could see both my husband and my daughter's calendars that are both Google calendars but I can't see my husband's in the Google calendar app on a Google device. It does not give me the option to add.

I'm still having this problem as well. I've received no replies since the initial one.

I am also having this problem. I didn't have a problem on the Pixel XL, but it's not showing on my new Pixel 2 after trying multiple troubleshooting recommendations.

I have a similar problem. I imported university calendar events. They all appear fine on browser Google Calendar, but nothing is displayed on my Pixel 2 Calendar app.
Please, resolve this issue for me

What everyone else has said.  I have a Pixel, wife has a Pixel XL, both are on Android 8.1.  We can see each other's calendars on the browser, but not on the phone app.  We've gone through every recommended step.  We've not used any other calendar apps nor done any calendar synching with other apps.  On our phones, our shared calendars do not show up under each other's "more" list, so there seems to be nothing to resynch.
