How do i attach a picture to a calendar item, like a pic of invitation?

The attachment feature only allows me to pick from google drive items. What not an option for photos of camera?

This is not currently possible.

In addition to posting here I recommend sending feedback to the product team - from the Calendar webpage click on the Question Mark / Send feedback (on the computer) or tap on Menu / Help & Feedback / Send feedback if you're using Google Calendar on your mobile device.

Nate,

I sympathise - it seems strange that you can include from Drive, but not from Photos.

However, if you have a photo in Drive, you can attach it to a Calendar event.

I realise it's a messy solution, but until the team allows you to select direct from Photos, copying a photo into Drive is an option.
