Request ownership of a Business Profile

If you’re a business owner, but a verified Business Profile for your business on Google Search or Maps is owned by someone else, you can request ownership from the current profile owner.

Important: If you look for your Business Profile and can’t find the 'Claim this business' or 'Own this business' button, you might already be the owner. Here are some ways to check if you are the owner:

  • You have the 'You manage this Business Profile' badge.
  • When you search for my business on Google Search, your business shows up.
  • On Google Maps, you have the 'Manage your Business Profile' badge.

If you delete your account within the first seven days, you’ll be removed from the profile. If you change your mind, you need to be added back again.
