Android Wear 2.0 FAQ

Hi everyone

We announced Android Wear 2.0 a while ago and this post aims to answer some of the most frequent questions and clarifications on which devices Android Wear 2.0 is available.

You can find the announcement and Reddit post here,  but please note also that all Android Wear watches that we launch from  2017 onward,  will be Android Wear 2.0 enabled.

Watches that already have Android Wear 2.0

Android Wear 2.0 is already available in the following watches:

  • LG Watch Sport

  • LG Watch Style

  • Fossil Q Founder

  • Casio Smart Outdoor Watch

  • Tag Heuer Connected

  • Polar M600

  • Fossil Q Wander

  • Fossil Q Marshal

  • Michael Kors ACCESS smartwatches

  • Nixon Mission

  • Huawei Watch 2

  • LG Watch Urbane

  • LG G Watch R

To receive this update on your watch, please make sure you have the latest version of the Android Wear app on your phone, by opening the Play Store, searching for “Android Wear”, and opening the app’s Play Store page. If an [Update] button is visible, make sure to update the app. For iOS, you will also need to download Android Wear app here.

To successfully receive the update on your watch, please make sure your watch is on its charger overnight and connected to your nearby phone by either bluetooth or Wi-Fi (Android phones only).

If you need more information on how to do this, check this Help Center article.

NOTE:

On your phone, the version number is for the Android Wear app and is not the same as your watch.

Watches that will receive Android Wear 2.0 end of April/late May -  OTA starts end of April/beginning of May for some manufacturers throughout multiple weeks. Timelines differ per watch and manufacturer.
