WhatsApp Contact details not syncing from the phone to the watch

Hey guys, has any one experience a problem in WhatsApp after the new wear os update. After I updated mine for some reason my WhatsApp contact details whenever I call someone the contract details which saved doesn't show up on watch just the number but on the phone it shows. I have a Samsung S22 Ultra linked to my samsung galaxy watch 4 classic with wear os version 4.0 and system version 13

There is limited functionality in WhatsApp for me, which is enough to get by such as seeing a thread and replying. If I recall, WhatsApp is owned by meta and May and updates its app at its own pace.

There is limited functionality in WhatsApp for me, which is enough to get by such as seeing a thread and replying. If I recall, WhatsApp is owned by meta and May and updates its app at its own pace.

Features and functionality for specific apps are the dev responsibility, and in this case, that is Meta/Facebook.

I was able to get notifications to work for WhatsApp and Wear OS with the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. The process unfortunately is never simple. First thing I did was make sure

1) Do Not Disturb was off

2) notifications enabled on both devices along with proper permissions

The latter was the key for me as notifications weren't completely set up. I uninstalled and reinstalled and relinked my watch as a linked device. that process worked.

Thank you but I tried factory resetting my watch but without an backup but got the same result.

I'm running a test with my niece on this now. As it turns out, I had to download the Whatsapp app on the watch itself, not just sideload it from the Play Store on the phone. Once I logged in, everything was working as it should.
