  • Your business information can be created in your AdWords Express or Google My Business account.
  • Find out how to display your business address in your ad, so you can attract customers who are already in your neighborhood.

Add a new business

Follow the instructions below to create a new business in your AdWords Express account.

  1. Sign in to your AdWords Express account at https://adwords.google.com/express/
  2. Click Create new business to add a new business to your AdWords Express account.
  3. Follow the steps to describe your business and add your contact information.

Show or hide your business address in your ad

When you create or edit your ad, you’ll have the option to show your business address within your ad. Showing your address in your ad can:

  • Attract customers who are interested in businesses in your area. This is ideal if you have a brick-and-mortar location that you’d like your customers to visit, such as a retail store, a restaurant, or a hotel.
  • If you don’t have a physical storefront, though, you might not want to display your place of work.

How to show or hide your business address
  1. Sign in to your AdWords Express account at https://adwords.google.com/express/
  2. Click the arrow next to your ad and select Edit in Google My Business.
  3. Click the Edit icon next to your business address.
  4. Check the box next to "I also serve customers at my business address" to show your address, or uncheck the box to hide your address. If you uncheck the box, your ad can still show your business's city and state.

Edit your business information

When you start advertising with AdWords Express, we’ll look for and add any businesses you may have already added with Google My Business. You can also add your business information directly to AdWords Express. You can see what product you used to enter your business info by looking at the icon next to your business information in AdWords Express.

AdWords Express

To edit your business name or website:

  1. Sign in to your AdWords Express account at https://adwords.google.com/express/
  2. Find the business you'd like to update. Click the arrow next to the business. From the dropdown menu, select Edit business.
  3. Update your business as needed.
  4. Click OK to save your changes.

To edit your business number:

  1. Sign in to your AdWords Express account at https://adwords.google.com/express/
  2. Click the business you'd like to update.
  3. Click the arrow next to your ad to show the "Edit" dropdown menu. Select Headline and ad text.
  4. Under "Phone number," enter a new phone number.
  5. Click Save to save your changes.

To edit your business address:

Sign in to your Google My Business account to edit your business information.

Google My Business To edit a business that was added in Google My Business, sign in to your Google My Business account to edit your business information. If you remove your business from Google My Business, this will immediately stop any of your ads for that business location. Historical ad performance data will be available for up to 30 days after your business information was removed.

When you open the AdWords Express mobile app, we’ll show you any businesses associated with your account.

Add a business

  1. Touch the add icon (Add button) in the bottom-right corner of the app.
  2. Follow the steps to add your business.

Edit your business info

  1. Touch the menu icon () next to the business you'd like to edit.
  2. Select Edit business.
  3. You'll be able update your business website, and name. Once you're done, select Save.

Switch to a different business

  1. Choose a different business from the list.
