Write at least 3 different ads for each Smart campaign

For best results, we recommend at least 3 ad versions for each Smart campaign. There is no additional cost to having more than 1 ad, and it also allows Google to optimize your campaign performance based on the best-performing ad.

To quickly make more ad versions, click on Write another ad after you’ve finished writing your ad.

Over time, if we notice that the performance of your Smart campaign(s) could be improved, we will send you emails with customized help and suggestions. To enable this:

  1. Sign into your Google Ads account.
  2. Click the Settings icon in the upper right corner of your account.
  3. Click Preferences.
  4. Click Notifications along the top to reach the Notifications page.
  5. Check if you have opted to receive customized help and performance suggestions for your account.
