Keyword Planner: Enter or upload a list of keywords to get forecasts

If you have a list of new keywords you’d like to see click and cost performance forecasts for, you can enter these keywords or upload a CSV file containing the keywords to Keyword Planner to see forecasts specific to your AdWords account and the bid you specify. These forecasts can help you decide whether to add certain keywords to your Search Network campaigns and aid in planning your advertising budget.

This article goes over how to use Keyword Planner to see click and cost performance forecasts for your new keyword ideas. For information on getting forecasts for keywords that  are already in your account, read Get forecasts for campaigns or keywords from your account.

Use your AdWords account to sign in to Keyword Planner.

Instructions

  1. Click Enter or upload a list of keywords to get forecasts.
  2. Enter a list of keywords, one per line or separated by commas. Or, click Choose File to upload a CSV file with your keywords. Note that these keywords won't be added to any of the existing campaigns in your account.
  3. Click Get forecasts.

    • At this point, you can edit your bid to see an updated forecast for your new bid. To do this, enter a new bid and hit Enter. You can also enter a daily budget.
    • You can also see a combined forecast of new keywords, plus campaigns or keywords from your account. Click Keywords from account from the menu on the left, then click Select from account to select campaigns or keywords from your account. Once your forecasts appear, click All keywords on the left to see combined forecasts.
