Enter your payments information in AdSense

To complete the AdSense activation process you need to provide your payments information. It's important that you enter this information correctly so that you can get paid.

Depending on your location, you may also need to provide a valid phone number when you activate your AdSense account. Google uses phone number verification to make sure that your information is accurate and up-to-date. For more information, see the phone number verification FAQs.

Enter your payments information

1. Sign in to your AdSense account.
2. Complete the following fields in the "Payments" card:
   • Account type: Choose whether you want an "Individual" or a "Business" AdSense account.
     Note: There's no difference in the services or payment structure between individual and business accounts. Individual accounts are paid out to the payee name of the account holder, whereas business account payments are made payable to the company name.
   • Name: For individual accounts, enter your full name exactly as it appears on your banking information. For business accounts, enter your company's name in the "Business name" field and the contact name for your company in the "Name" field.

   • Address: Enter your full postal address.

     We check your address against the Google database. If we can't verify your address either because it's new and hasn't been added to our database yet or because it's mistyped, you can:

     • Edit your address and try again
     • Select a verified address (if there's a better match in our database)
     • Use your address as is. Google will add your address to the database.
     Note: You must be able to receive mail at this address. When your account balance reaches the verification threshold, we'll mail you a Personal Identification Number (PIN). You'll need to enter the PIN in your AdSense account before we can send you any payments.
   • Phone number: Enter a valid phone number.
3. Click Submit.

4. On the AdSense homepage, in the "Verify your phone number" card, enter your phone number in international format: +(Country code)(Area code)(Phone number).
   Note: Your phone number's country code must match the country/territory you selected when you signed up for AdSense. For example, if you selected "United Kingdom" when you signed up, your phone number must start +44.
5. Choose whether you’d like to receive your verification code by text message or voice call.
6. Click Get verification code.
7. Enter the 6-digit verification code that we sent you and click Submit.
