Google Drive components

Google Drive includes several components:

  • Google Drive on the web, an online interface to view your Google Drive contents. This replaces and enhances what you might already know as the Google Documents List.

  • Google Drive for Mac/PC, a downloadable application for Windows and Mac computers that lets you sync files between your computer and Google Drive on the web.

  • Google Drive mobile apps. Use these apps to access your Drive on your mobile device, at any time and any place.

  • Google Drive storage plans provide 30 GB of free storage for Google Drive, Gmail, and Picasa Web Albums (15 GB for Google Apps free edition, a legacy product), and you can purchase additional storage at competitive rates.

  • Google Drive apps, that you can use to edit images and videos, fax and sign documents, manage projects, create flowcharts, and more. Google Drive works with an increasing number of apps that you can install from the Chrome Web Store, including Aviary, Evernote, Lucidchart, SlideRocket, and more.

Please note that issues that users have with these 3rd-party apps are not supported by Google. For example, if a user clicks Create > More in Google Drive and then chooses a third-party app, any problems the user experiences with that 3rd-party app must be handled by the 3rd-party vendor.
