Edit video settings

After you upload a video, you can change its metadata in YouTube Studio. Change everything from your video's title to caption and comment settings. Learn how to make bulk changes to videos.

Edit video details

  1. Sign in to YouTube Studio.
  2. From the left menu, select Content.
  3. Click a video’s title or thumbnail.
  4. Set the video’s settings and select Save.

Available video settings 

  • Title
  • Description
  • Tags
  • Audience
  • Visibility
  • Monetization
  • Playlists
  • Thumbnail
  • Categories
  • License and rights ownership
  • Caption certification
  • Recording date
  • Video location
  • Language
  • Syndication
  • Comment settings
  • Shorts permissions
If you want to note that the video is about a specific game, you can select the "Gaming" category and add the title in the video's advanced settings.
