Content removal options outside of Google Search

Google removes content from search results that violates our product and content policies. If there is content that you would like removed from search results but it doesn’t violate our policies, you may have other options. 

Remove content at the source

In general, your best option is to remove content at its source.

Contact the website owner

While we can prevent content from appearing in our search results, we can’t remove it from websites that host it. The person who owns the site controls it. To remove the content, your best option is to contact the site owner. Learn how to contact a website owner.
