Create and apply labels

Best practices for working with labels

Here are some best practices for creating, applying, and using labels.

Label similar campaigns

For example:

  • Label all brand campaigns with a "Brand" label, and all model campaigns with a "Model" label.

  • Apply the same labels to relevant campaigns in all of your engine accounts.

Create a dynamic report that you can easily view or download

After you've applied labels to items in Search Ads 360:

  1. In the left navigation panel, click Labels.

  2. Filter the reporting table so that it displays a specific subset of labels.

  3. Save the reporting view.
You can return to this saved view by selecting it from the Views list, which appears below the Labels tab.

  4. From the saved view, you can generate a Web Query or a scheduled report for continuous updates.

Schedule labeling

You can set up a schedule for Search Ads 360 to label items at a specific time or on a recurring basis. This allows you to keep your regular working hours and still have Search Ads 360 make needed changes any time 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

For example, you can label keywords at midnight to coincide with the launch of a promotion. Then you can run automated rules that operate on the labeled keywords.

To help you keep track of your edits, you can name each scheduled edit something that's meaningful to you. To see a summary of your scheduled edits, or to pause, resume, or remove them, click Scheduled edits in the left nav.

To set up a schedule for Search Ads 360 to label items:

  1. Next to Start in the edit panel for labels, select At later time or Recurring.
  2. If needed, use the Revert option to undo the changes at a certain time.
  3. Enter the email addresses of the users to be notified of these changes. Search Ads 360 will send email when the scheduled edit completes.
