Edit & share your memories

Google Photos automatically organizes your photos and videos into a timeline of meaningful moments. You can customize your memories and share them with others.

Important: If you can't find Memories view, it may not currently be available in your country. It will be available globally in the coming months.

About Memories view

With Memories view, you can:

  • View a timeline of your meaningful moments.
  • Save your featured memories to the Memories view.
  • Create new memories.
  • Add or remove photos, edit titles, and add dates.
  • Create shared memories to collaborate with others.
Switch to Memories view

You can view a curated timeline of your memories.

To switch to Memories view:

  1. On your device, open the Photos app Photos.
  2. At the bottom, tap Memories.

Create a memory

Important: New memories that you create are also saved as an album. The album highlight may appear in your featured memories carousel.

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Photos app Photos.
  2. At the bottom, tap Memories.
  3. Tap Add Add.
  4. Select the photos you want to add to the memory.
  5. Tap Add and then Add a title.
  6. To exit, tap Done Done.

Edit a memory

Edit title
  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Photos app Photos.
  2. At the bottom, tap Memories.
  3. Select the memory that you want to edit.
  4. Tap More More and then Edit title.

Tip: You can get help with titles for your eligible memories. Learn more about AI-created suggestions.

Add photos or videos
  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Photos app Photos.
  2. At the bottom, tap Memories.
  3. Select the memory that you want to edit.
  4. Tap Add photos.
Add missing days

You can add missing days to a memory to add any photos taken that day.

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Photos app Photos.
  2. At the bottom, tap Memories.
  3. Select the memory that you want to edit.
  4. Tap More More and then Add missing days.
  5. Select the days you want to add.
Remove photos or videos
  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Photos app Photos.
  2. At the bottom, tap Memories.
  3. Select the memory that you want to edit.
  4. Tap More More and then Edit and then Delete .
  5. To exit, tap Done Done.

Share a memory

You can share an entire memory so others can add photos and videos.

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Photos app Photos.
  2. At the bottom, tap Memories.
  3. Select the memory that you want to share.
  4. Tap Share.

Remove a memory from Memories view

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Photos app Photos.
  2. At the bottom, tap Memories.
  3. Select the memory that you want to remove.
  4. Tap More More and then Remove Remove.

Remove a memory highlight from an album

Important: When you remove a highlight, it doesn't delete the photos in the memory or the memory itself.

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Photos app Photos.
  2. At the bottom, tap Memories.
  3. Select the memory that you want to edit.
  4. Tap Remove.
