Google Pay works hard to keep your money safe. We use artificial intelligence and fraud prevention technology to find harmful transactions when they happen.
Sometimes, people might try to trick you into giving them your money. Here are some tips to keep your money safe.
How Google Pay keeps your money safeGoogle Pay uses 2 distinct layers of protection:
- You must use your device’s screen lock like PIN, fingerprint and more to view the app and account info.
- You must enter your unique UPI PIN to authorize and complete each transaction.
Stay alert if the caller claims to be from your bank or a store, but you don't recognize them. If they ask for personal info like your ID card, important papers, or your financial numbers (like your PIN or bank account), do not share details with them, no matter how convincing they sound. If anything seems strange or wrong, contact your bank immediately.
