Show products in multiple countries of sale

You can advertise your products across multiple countries and languages. Depending on your primary country of sale and the language in which your product data is submitted, some of your products may be readily available to show in additional countries of sale. These countries are categorized into 3 different groups: Group A, Group B, and Group C. Countries and languages not yet included in these groups will require manual setup.

Before you begin

To allow your products to show in all relevant locations, make sure you've correctly configured shipping and set up targeting for Google Ads campaigns for all of the countries in which your product is delivered.

Your shipping settings should reflect your Google Ads location targeting settings, including ‘‘Area of Interest” (AOI) or “Location of Presence” (LOP). Learn more about targeting geographic locations.

If you do not complete these steps, your products won’t show in additional countries.

Automatically add additional countries of sale

Depending on the primary country of sale that you select when you submit your product data, your product data may become automatically available and some of your products may be eligible to show in additional countries, provided you have set up shipping and geographical targeting for those countries.

For example, let’s say you select Germany as your primary country of sale and submit your product data in German. This data will also be available in certain other German-speaking countries, such as Austria and Switzerland. Some of the products submitted in your German product data may show in these additional countries, provided that you’ve set up shipping and geographical targeting for these countries.

Country groups

The countries in which you can automatically advertise using the same product data will vary depending on the country group of your products’ primary country of sale.

Manually add other languages or countries of sale

For all other languages and countries, you can manually add a new country of sale to any primary feed. Before a single feed can connect to multiple countries of sale, it must meet the policy requirements of the new country.

To add a new country of sale:

  1. Sign into your Merchant Center account.
  2. Click Products on the navigation menu, then click Feeds.
  3. Select the feed to which you want to add the new country of sale.
  4. Click on the Settings tab, then click Add.
  5. Select the new country and language (if applicable).
  6. Click Add.

The new country of sale will appear in your feed list and the additional country and language combination(s) will take effect upon the next feed upload.

Customized product data

You may need to customize your product data under the following scenarios:

Same language and currency

The new country of sale has the same language and currency requirements as the original country of sale for which you created your product data (e.g., Germany and Austria). If this is the case, you don't need to take any additional steps to customize your data. You should see your products appear in the products list for any additional country you add.

Same language, different currency

The new country of sale has the same language requirements but uses different currencies than the country for which you originally created your product data. You many want to submit your product data to a country that speaks the same language but uses a different currency (e.g., Australia and the United States). Use the currency conversion tool to fulfill the currency requirements and submit your product data to a different country .

Different language and currency

The new country of sale uses a different language and a different currency. Use Feed Rules to update the product data with language-dependent values, such as description or title. Alternatively, you can use the Supplemental Feed feature to provide additional language-dependent attributes. Use the currency conversion tool to fulfill the currency requirements.
