Help getting off of the gmail blacklist, getting a 550-5.7.1
I am receiving bounce messages that state:
Our system has detected that this message is 550-5.7.1 likely suspicious due to the very low reputation of the sending IP 550-5.7.1 address. To best protect our users from spam, the message has been 550-5.7.1 blocked. Please visit 550 5.7.1 https://support.google.com/mail/answer/188131 for more information. e11si580016iok.24 - gsmtp (in reply to end of DATA command)
This happening when sending to all google hosted and gmail accounts. This has been happening for several days now.
One of our users had a compromised device and their account/password was stolen and abused by spammers. The activity was detected and the account deactivated within hours of this. They were able to get out enough spam that our server appeared on two public blacklists for a short time.
I could understand a temporary block for a few hours or a day.... It's been days now. We are not spammers. None of my users are spammers or send any large amounts of
bulk mail. Accounts are rarely compromised and the situation is dealt
with swiftly every time.
I noticed immediately gmail / google hosted emails were bouncing. Since a large segment of my customers (and my customers customers) are on google hosted accounts or gmails I filled out the delivery issues form as suggested elsewhere. (That was on Tuesday and it's now Thursday)
I've just tried sending quotes and bills and am still receiving the bounce message. This has to be a problem as it doesn't seem like good practice or realistic to be permanently banned from sending emails to google/gmail.... This is hurting my business, and especially my customers. Many people are emailing me and I have no way of responding. Some of them need urgent help and I don't have an alternate method of reaching them.
