Use summary cards in Gmail

Summary cards provide important information from your email about:

  • Order tracking
  • Events
  • Travel
  • Bills
  • Promotions

Availability

Summary cards are available in Gmail for the web and in the app for Android, iPhone, and iPad.

How summary cards work

To show you the important information from your email, summary cards will display at the top of your inbox.

For example, you can:

  • Find an order delivery status and bookings.
  • Invite others to your events on Google Calendar.
  • Create a task to remind you about an upcoming bill.

Summary cards are generated based on the information from your email. If you notice anything incorrect about the summary card, click feedback icons or below the card.

  • If you turn on live package tracking, you can get the latest information about your order from the carrier on the estimated delivery date and time. Learn about package tracking in Gmail.
  • If you don’t get a reminder for an upcoming bill, check if you have the right settings in your preferred task management app. Learn more about notifications for tasks.
