Manage your room rates and availability

Update your internet booking engine (IBE) or booking page URL

Google will either automatically detect which booking engine you are using or you can enter your booking page URL. If your IBE changes or is not correct, you can replace it with a booking page URL.

A booking page allows a traveler to select their dates and finalize the reservation. In most cases, a traveler is asked to enter purchase details such as name and credit card information to secure the reservation.

When entering a booking page URL, don’t use a social media page like Facebook or an online travel agency (OTA) link like Expedia or Booking.com. The booking page URL must take travelers who click on your hotel via free booking links to your website to book directly with you, not a third party.

The booking page URL can be updated by clicking on “Rate settings”. Changes to the booking page URL will appear on Google within 5 business days.

Update your minimum stay restriction

A minimum stay restriction is the fewest number of nights a traveler can book. Stay restrictions can help to provide accurate rates for hotels which have minimum stay restrictions. You can add or edit your minimum stay restriction using the calendar view or by clicking Rate settings.
  • For example: If your minimum stay is 3 nights, your property won’t appear for travelers searching for 2-nights stays.

Stay restrictions cannot be longer than 30 nights, and the shortest possible stay is 1 night. Hotels can add only one restriction at a time.

A separate setting will appear for entering the new restriction.

Adding new stay restrictions, for the same date range, will override any previous restrictions. Hotels can add only one restriction at a time.

After a minimum stay restriction is entered, the calendar view will display an icon with the stay restriction you entered for the date. For a stay restriction of 1 day, the icon will not display on the calendar view.

Update length of stay discount (optional)

Length of stay discount is a special discount for travelers who stay multiple nights at your property. You can update this anytime in your rate settings.

If multiple discounts are available for the same date range, only the highest one will be applied.

Once you add the discount, you can hover over and click on the discount to manage the details. For more information, see our frequently asked questions.

Update or remove your taxes and fees

Taxes and fees are set at the account level and can be updated in Rate settings. Any changes to taxes and fees will apply to all existing prices.

Note: Prices must include all taxes and fees required to book a stay. Users booking public rates directly through your website or through Google should expect to find an identical breakdown of base rate, taxes, and fees if the total price is the same for both channels.

To edit or remove an existing tax or fee in “Rate settings”, select the specific tax or fee entry:

  • To edit: Update the name, fee type, or amount as necessary.
  • To remove: Select the Delete this tax/fee button at the bottom of the entry.

To edit or remove VAT/GST (Value Added Tax/Goods and Service Tax) in “Rate settings”, select the specific VAT/GST entry:

  • To edit VAT/GST: Change the amount to a value between more than 0 and less than 100.
  • To remove VAT/GST: Set the amount to 0.

When you add or edit rates for your hotel, they can take up to an hour to appear in free booking links on Google.
