Manage auto-apply recommendations

This article shows you how to manage recommendations that you’ve opted-in to apply automatically. Learn more About applying recommendations automatically

Turn on auto-apply recommendations

  1. Go to the Recommendations page within the Campaigns menu Campaigns Icon.
  2. Select Auto-apply settings.
  3. You can select all of the “Maintain your ads” or “Grow your business” bundles, or you can manually select recommendations in each category by expanding “Maintain your ads” or “Grow your business” drop-downs.
    • Select learn more to get more information about each recommendation.
  4. Select Save for each bundle or recommendation you’ve chosen.

Auto apply recommendations

Note: You can now view recommendations that you subscribed to automatically apply in the Account Settings.

  1. Go to the Account settings page within the Admin menu Campaigns Icon.
  2. Select Auto-apply dropdown.
  3. When you expand “Auto-apply”, you’ll be able to view all the subscribed auto apply recommendations. It also outlines all the recommendations you can auto apply based on your recent activity.
  4. To make changes to the list of auto applied recommendations, select Go to auto apply settings.

Confirm opt-in

You can confirm who enrolled your account, and when, through the account’s change history:

  1. Go to the Recommendations page within the Campaigns menu Campaigns Icon.
  2. Select Auto-apply settings, then select History tab.
    • You can confirm when the recommendation was first turned on here.
    • You can also confirm the user ID that opted into the recommendations if you go to "Change history".
  3. Filter for the date your account was turned on to auto-apply recommendations.

Note: If you were participating in our Control Center beta before April 2021, you may view a different opt-in from your actual opt-in date due to a data migration.

Track the recommendations that you’ve turned on

After you’ve turned on automatic application of a recommendation, you’ll be able to track which recommendations are turned on in the History tab of the "Recommendations" page. You can also view them in Admin > Account Settings > Auto Apply. You’ll also be able to review how many times that recommendation has been applied in the past week, when it was last applied, and when you first turned it on.

Turn off your automatically applied recommendations

You can turn off automatically applied recommendations at any time from either of these tabs:

The Manage tab

  1. Go to the Recommendations page within the Campaigns menu Campaigns Icon.
  2. Select Auto-apply settings.
  3. Uncheck the recommendation you want to turn off.
  4. Select Save.

The History tab

  1. Go to the Recommendations page within the Campaigns menu Campaigns Icon.
  2. Select Auto-apply settings, then select History tab.
  3. Select the recommendation you want to turn off.
  4. Select Disable.
  5. You’ll view a red dot next to all automatically applied recommendations that have been turned off.
