Most users with a work or school Google Account have access to Gemini Apps. Feature availability and how your data is handled depends on your Workspace license.

Access & requirements for work or school users
Important: To use Gemini Apps with a work account, you must be 18 or over.
You have access to Gemini Apps as a core service with enterprise-grade data protections if you have a qualifying edition of Google Workspace.
If you don’t have a qualifying edition of Google Workspace, you use Gemini Apps as an additional service. To use Gemini Apps as an additional service:
- Access must be enabled by your Google Workspace administrator.
- You will be subject to the Google Terms of Service and Gemini Apps Privacy Notice. Learn more about using Gemini Apps as an additional service below.

Manage & delete Gemini Apps activity
For users with a work or school Google Account and access to Gemini Apps, Gemini Apps Activity is on and can’t be turned off and you can’t delete your Gemini Apps activity.
- Your Gemini Apps Activity includes activity from the Gemini web app and the mobile app. When you delete your chats with Gemini for Workspace inside a Workspace app, this does not delete any information that is saved to your Gemini Apps Activity.

Currently, if you use the Gemini web app or mobile app with your work or school account, your Gemini Apps Activity is turned on and your conversation history is retained for 18 months.
Important: For work users who have access to Gemini Apps as an additional service, while Gemini Apps Activity is on, Google collects your Gemini Apps conversations and other information you provide to improve and develop Google products and services and machine-learning technologies. Learn more.
